Welcome to Easter Island! One of the most isolated places on earth and probably one of the most mysterious too! Moai have always fascinated the world but few really know their meaning and take the time to explore and understand the culture of the people from Easter Island, the Rapa Nui.
In this video, I'm taking you to discover Easter Island, not only through my eyes and personnal experience but also through the testimony of Hotu, a local who was born and grew up on the island and who talks with an open heart about the Rapa Nui culture, their traditions, dance and songs, their meanings, their lifestyle, how it was to grow up on the island. You'll also learn about the true meaning of the Moai for the Rapa Nui and the struggle they are going through to conserve their culture.
I believe you'll learn a lot about Easter Island through this video and I hope it will make you understand better this mysterious culture which is still to this day one of the most incredible places I've ever visited.
