Unpopular opinion but I like the no Santa/Easter bunny thing. Holidays can still be magical even without them. I feel like people go wayyyy too far to uphold the “belief “ that it just gets bonkers.
My parents did the Easter bunny and Santa when I was younger, but my mom is against it now, and I don’t plan to do either with any possible future children of my own. I hate how people can take every holiday about Jesus and turn the focus to something totally different. I strongly agree👍
I defiantly agree! Growing up my siblings and I always knew that Santa and the Easter bunny wasn't real and I'm glad that they didn't lie to us all those years!
My parents never did the Easter Bunny. They did Santa, but I think I'm not going to do either with my kiddos. I want to keep these holidays Christ-centered from the start!
People should not get upset with you about not lying to your kids Easter bunny, Santa clause, tooth fairy, all of those are false idols And celebrating them is idol worship, Santa whoever that is Has replaced God in most households Parents have taught their kids to put hope and faith into a made up idol who they are made to believe know everything and sees everything And if they are good If they are good they get presents Well let me tell you how much that Christmas is going to hurt when the enemy is allowed to come into your household and you have nothing to give to your very deserving children! This happened to us before we knew Christ We should only be putting hope and faith into our Lord Jesus Christ who IS all knowing all mighty NEVER EVER into a false idol Don’t lie to the kids, always correct them against the worlds teaching with the word of God 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 fyi a lot of these holidays ESPECIALLY Halloween are pagan holidays celebrations and traditions down to your Christmas tree ❤ blessings to all
Love that you don’t go the Easter Bunny and Santa!! We don’t either and it’s never been missed. We do learn about the real Saint Nicholas each Christmas. As a mom of 9 myself, I enjoy your videos!
For Christmas I use to tell my daughter when she was younger thaglt Jesus shares his gifts with her and it's his birthday. She use to yell thank you Jesus every Christmas 😂.. what you're doing is not lying to them but teaching them the truth. God bless you and your family.
Beautiful matching dresses! We don’t do Santa or Easter bunny either. Seems so silly. Easter is magical because Jesus is alive and we celebrate with our extended family, not because of a bunny. Plus my husband has always said, like others in the comments, that we don’t want to lie about something like Santa and put doubts in their head about Jesus.
We didn’t do Santa or the Easter bunny and my boys turned out just fine. It made them appreciate the hard work my husband does to provide for them at the holidays. Your doing a good job mama God bless!❤
Yes mama, same here we don’t practice idolitary or pagan holidays in our home either. We serve the lord and read our scriptures and the scriptures say clearly not to take part in these worldly holidays . Good bless all and open our eyes ❤
He is risen indeed!!! Happy Easter! I have 4 kids and we don't do any eggs or rabbits stuff..all the focus is on Jesus who died for us and risen from the dead!! That is what Easter is all about
Girl, SAME. My kids know that we got them the gifts. I’m not letting some bunny take the credit. 😂 I honestly never even wanted to do the whole Santa thing either, but my husband started it. 😏 I never believed in Santa, even when my parents tried to make it believable. I basically was pretending for their benefit. 🤣
Same here sister, although I don’t even do egg hunts. We take the time to learn about the true meaning, I also gave chocolate cross. Family always gives candy baskets. I felt convicted on the egg hunts, coloring eggs and baskets so this year was the first year I truly simplified it and made it about the TRUE reason. :) awesome for you for standing in what you believe in!
We also do not go the Easter bunny, santa, tooth fairy, etc route. They get gifts because we want to give them. Resurrection Day and Christmas is about Jesus in our home. ❤️
Good for you! I have complete respect for my parents for never lying to me and now as a mom I refuse to lie to my daughter. Santa movies can be fun, but it’s just a story
I totally agree with the easter bunny and Christmas thing because its not even what people say it is about like Jesus was born April 5th and not December 25 and i feel like many people need to see how the wicked tries to flip it backwards. We dont do santa or easter either and our kids are just fine! Not only it's lying to your kids, but also these traditions have pagan roots, which take away from what the main focus should be: Glorifying and exalting the name of the Lord!
I would want to do that no invented stuff thing with my future kids but I'm just worried they would spill the tea at school and make other kids sad or mad, it's just that I don't want them to be responsible for what other parents should be
I grew up with all of it . I’m old fashion and both my kids grew up with the Easter bunny ,Santa clause, and the tooth fairy . Catching their foot prints with baby powder putting pink lipstick on and red lipstick on and kissing their foreheads . Ohhh the magic in their eyes and now my 5 yr old grandson and 3 yr old granddaughter will fe growing up the same . Nothing wrong with your way but there is nothing wrong with our way either . Actually, we don’t do Santa/Easter Bunny with our son, either, and I think he’s the happier for it. Because he’s neurodivergent, and easily overwhelmed, we generally bring out a few extra special presents for Christmas Day, and then we sprinkle the rest of the gifts out over the rest of the break. Basically, do what makes sense for your family, and know that you’re absolutely not the only one. 😊❤ ❤ Sasha

I was traumatized at age 30 when I found out they originally colored eggs with the blood of sacrificed babies 🥲 to pay tribute to Ishtar and her son Tamar who was trampled by pigs. Also why people eat ham for Easter. Easter is also the name Ishtar 😬✌🏽
I love this! Where are your dresses from?! Gorgeous! We also don't do the Easter bunny or Santa. It can detract away from the real meaning of the holiday, at least it did for my husband and I when we were kids. I was also very wounded when I found out Santa and the bunny weren't really magical. How will our kids believe us when we teach them about the miracles and mysteries of our faith if they found out we lied to them about other fantastical things? Just our own personal conviction! We do a scavenger hunt for our Easter baskets after church and that's such a fun tradition!
You're doing the right thing. God doesn't want us celebrating Easter, but instead celebrating Jesus's resurrection. The bunny and all of that is simply a distraction. Same with Christmas, it's about Jesus, not Santa; Santa is a distraction from Jesus. Is it a coincidence Santa flipped around is "Satan?" I really don't think so. No easter bunny or Santa in my house either... Our mother talked about them,(tooth fairy, leprechaun, etc) but we always knew it was her, she was a single parent. But exactly, Jesus was the star, not these pagan deities 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

It’s so fun and special like saying Merry Christmas and you get Merry Christmas back. ❤️ I was very upset as a kid about Santa and the tooth fairy. I agree that the happiness and excitement can be there without the fake characters. My son is only 1 right now, but my plan for the future when it comes to Christmas is that our family will focus on Jesus. Since Saint Nicholas was a real person that did good things, I want to tell him those true stories. Hopefully that will prevent him from telling other kids that Santa isn’t real-upsetting kids and parents. He might even share the true stories and tell the other kids about Jesus. ❤️

I just hope that your kids knowing about no Santa/EB that they don't ruin it for others who do believe. Every parent is entitled to parent their kids how they see fit. I would have been FURIOUS if my kids found out from your kid in first grade or something. Growing up and still to this day my parents made Christmas absolutely magical and I've done the same for my kids. Please make sure you're children don't ruin the magic for other kids. That's not right at all. It's not your child decision to tell my child That Santa is not real. I'd be BS TBH. This works is crazy and there's nothing wrong with a little Christmas magic
We don’t do Santa and Easter Bunny either - we just say they’re make believe characters but Jesus is the true meaning for those holidays. I’m from the UK but live in the States now. We don’t celebrate Halloween either. I was surprised by how many US Christians do.
I thought I was making memories . These grown kids argued about me cooking a Easter Sunday dinner.. I do it every single year.. 24 years .. They don't remember last year appparently.
We do Santa , but it’s just a little stuff, like hygiene stuff, socks , a family board game. We opening presents on Christmas Eve from us and from Santa on Christmas morning. But as I said it’s just a little things we need. We do egg hunt, but my kids knows I prepare it for them. They just want to have fun to collect eggs 😊
My mom and dad never raised me to believe in Santa or the Easter Bunny, and I will happily do the same with my own kids one day, so I agree with this unpopular opinion. Thank you for raising those kiddos in a beautiful, Jesus-loving home!
My 1st degree was in early childhood development. That is when I realized how when some kids learned of the reality surrounding, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy & Santa- that they then questioned God since they couldn’t see him - was he really for real. Decided then that none of those were going to exist in our house.
Good for you! Some people think it is SO BAD to "rob" them from a LIE! We dont do the bunny or santa thing either. Its more important to tell your kids the truth. More importantly, the truth about Jesus ❤
My parents did Santa/Easter Bunny/Toothfairy and I found out from my cousin that they weren’t real, cant say I was crushed or destroyed I always knew or had an inkling…but my parents always told us for Santa that we believed not in Santa himself but in the spirit of him, the spirit of giving which was used as a teaching tool growing up more than lying to keep a belief going. I might do the spirit of Santa idea my dad came up with but I know I don’t want to crush my kids or have them find it out through someone else.
We didn't get a easter present We looked for boiled eggs. Christmas was not great. My daddy always got drunk on Christmas Eve and was asleep all Christmas. We went to church very early on Easter Sunday for sunrise services
I've known since I was a kid that I don't want to do Santa/Easter Bunny with my kid. You really can't teach them to believe the Bible and also convince them those things are real too 😩

It made me so happy to hear you say this. We do not do the Easter bunny, we do not do Santa Claus, and we do not participate in any Halloween activities. The first two are all about Jesus, the last one is the Devils day. Nice to hear another Christian share the same values.

I thought I was the only one who didn't like lying to their kids lol I don't do the bunny or Santa or anything either. I let my mother teach my daughter the real reason behind these holidays, even if I'm not religious. But I didn't want to lie to her about fictional characters.
My family didn’t do the Easter bunny or Santa after my parents became Christians because they didn’t want us to think if they aren’t real then maybe Jesus isn’t ether so when my oldest siblings were 5 that is when all that stuff stopped in our family
We don't do Santa, easter bunny, tooth fairy, etc. none of it. Our daughter knows that there is a person portraying Santa (at the mall) but he does not come in the middle of the night to deliver presents and so forth lol.
Yes I love how you celebrate Easter we do it slimmer we never believed in Santa or the Easter bunny or anything like that and I wouldn’t have it any other way… and no judgment or hate to the people who do do this for their kids😁
I agree with the no santa thing, I was crushed when I found out santa wasn't real, my mom tried to convince me he was but the damage was done, I was absolutely heartbroken and I wouldn't do that to my kids
we always told our son easter bunny isnt real. Santa however brings one gift. and the toothfairy got outed this year after my son lost his front 4 teeth. We decided that those 4 where enough and to let him know what he got came from us. Im sure santa will be next to go. Hes 7 I just wanted to hold it a bit longer as he is my only one and we are waiting on God to bless us with more

That’s how we do it too, we don’t like Santa or the Easter bunnie or anything to do with celebrating holidays we teach the kids that we organize everything an let them know that we can make things even more special
I honestly don't understand why any parent, let alone a Christian parent, would LIE to their children about anything. Especially evil, pagan dieties that take away from the glory of God. The Bible says to give credit where credit is due. So if you did the decorating and the present buying, why would a pagan god get the glory!?! And why would we honor satanic things (Santa and the Easter bunny) instead of Christ Jesus our Lord and King. Is 42:8.
