Limited to cars of a maximum of 500cc, this lovely period piece shows central Europe at a time which was very different from today. we follow the Berkeley works team from Lydd airport in Kent on to Le Touquet before making their way to Belgium.
In amongst the Fiat Abarths, Zundapps and odd bubble cars are two unusual - and very attractive - U.M.A.P bodied Citroen 2CVs. These are numbers 11 & 36 and painted blue and well worth looking out for.
During the rally, cleaning neither the car or the camera seemed to be a priority. In a strange kind of way this adds to the enjoyment of this film.
