I did this ride on the 3rd of September 2023 a few months after going through spinal surgery, the ride starts from the Shillito woods and follows some lovely single track, this ride is great because it has very little in the way of road work, this ride also has some awesome views across the open moorland.

I recommend the Whyte Emtb bikes buddy, have a look before you make a final decision, they’re not cheap but build quality is brilliant 👍

Eastern moors is a great chilled loop.....loads of alternatives from it too. Ah summer ⛱️☀️

I like snow but I love the long warm 🤞days of the summer a lot more, your not wrong mate, the Eastern Moors are a fantastic place to ride 🤘

Perfect weather and lovely tracks really enjoyed the ride , looking at your bike I know mine is the older Kiox controller but i moved mine from stem mount after it snapped the two little location legs off when i crashed and cut my knee open , the kiox was perched up like yours but was only on its magnetic hold and not fastened into the cradle with a screw but it must have landed awkwardly and bingo that was it badly damaged . I've now got it below bar level on a different type of mount and much more protected. I had to re make the legs with five second fix and file them back to as near original as i could or else it would have been around £150 for a new kiox

Thanks for your feedback mate, was your mount a Hope Kiox mount, if it was I’d be surprised to hear it snapped, the Hope mount seems pretty robust as it’s made of thick aluminium CNC’d from a billet. I really enjoyed this ride apart from the noise coming from my bike, some kind of clicking sound, the annoying thing is I don’t where it’s coming from ☹️

its not the mount that breaks its the actual little kiox unit , when you lift it out of the cradle the two little protrusions that are nearset you as it sits in are the ones that got creamed off and i would have expexcted the bosch composite mount to have browen first but it did and took the legs off the head unit @@yorkneytrailrider1751

its the kiox head unit thats liable to get damaged not the mount itself , the bits that snapped off are the little protrusions nearest to you as you pop it into the mount @@yorkneytrailrider1751
