Lubec Maine is the Eastern most town in the USA. The FDR International Bridge spans across the Lubec Narrows and is part of the Bay of Fundy with the most extreme tides on the planet. At the other end of the bridge is Campobello Island, NB. Canada. The Lighthouse on Campobello Island along the shores of the Lubec Narrows is Mulholland Point Lighthouse. Another lighthouse off in the water is the Lubec Channel Lighthouse (The Sparkplug of Lubec). In the distance, you can even see the great cliffs of Grand Manan Canada. Very nice piece! My mother was born on Campobello. We came up (down home) when I was a kid in the 50s and 60s when Lubec was a thriving little metropolis. There was a Unobski's department store, a big drugstore with a soda fountain, and no bridge. You had to take the car ferry across the narrows! If you weren't there by 6pm one of our cousins would row us over in a dory! Then we'd pick up the car in the morning! What wonderful days!
