Join along as Chris and myself Travis tackle Eastern Red Cedar trees in the cedar tree forest. We are mulching cedars outside of Chapman, Ks in Dickinson County. Watch as Chris is running the ASV RT135 with a Prinoth M450 mulching head. The ASV and Prinoth are making quick work of the cedars, turning them into small wood chips. The large amount of cedar trees are taking over the landowners land, having a competition with the native grass for moisture and nutrients, which.... obviously the cedars are winning! Once the cedars have been mulched, with some moisture and sunlight the wood chips will begin to decompose and the native grass will longer have any competition. This will leave an amazing stand of native grass.
