A rather cold December day at the East Herts Railway, beside the Van Hage Garden Centre in Ware. Reason for the visit was that one of the contacts Mike had in Sri Lanka, and who helped organise his 2006 visit to the country to study the M7 locomotives, was visiting England and staying in London for a week. It was thought to be a good idea that he should be able to see the fruits of this research, and also to have a drive of the loco himself... jolly good fun all round, despite the numb fingers and toes!
