can confirm that this still works! HOWEVER: make sure to change the difficulty on your alt to N25 BEFORE joining your main's listing, otherwise it will be greyed out and you won't be able to change it. thank you so much for this!!
For those having trouble healing Valithra, there is two ways to tackle that issue which is either not killing Sindragosa on your normal toon since she's the mandatory boss and Valithra is the optional boss or grab the Heart of Azeroth for Concentrated Flame to heal Valithra if you're a class that doesn't heal. Bandages can work but they aren't reliable as they used to be. Side note: Doing Sindragosa instead of Valithra adds an additional 2-3 minutes but it's still faster than doing it normally. The skip is back in action!
Yeah, I never really updated this comment but leaving Blood Queen alive is much faster than Sindragosa. All of the wing end bosses can unlock portal.@@507Soccer
I have tested this with level 60 alts of mine and have few notes to anyone willing to do this: Test date: 26.12.23 *Standart clear(kill everything and lk) with a rogue took me 22 minutes. So I can easily say that a normal clear with all the rp and running takes you between 20 to 23 minutes depending on your character. *This methods took my warrior 11 minutes. Depending on the character this might take between 10 to 12 minutes. So I can say that it halves the amount of effort put in towards this mount farm. Also consider sending bandages to each alt beforehand and station them outside the icc. Put your main to a rested zone after the first clear so it'll be easier to login and logout. Finally decided to set this up for my 10 alts after not being able to stomach running all 10 again, dropped on my second skip LOL fucking way she goes boys, Thanks for the video.
Tryed it yesterday with 1 main and 2 alts, worked for the 2 alts as described in the video no issue at all, the loging log out queu/sign up/accept/join are a bit annoying to do each time but u probably win some time overhaul and u don't have to do the first 8 bosses, i haven't tryed to do it with the main yet.
Much Appreciated for this Guide. I'm not gonna lie I thought it looked tedious but I wanted a way to hopefully get this mount by War Within as I plan on maining a DK. I did your method and the mount miraculously dropped after the 5th Alt Clear I did. I know. I can barely believe it too. xD
This worked for one alt, but the second one I was able to heal valithria but when I switch to heroic I get a message saying "You are ineligible to participate in at least one encounter in this instance because you are already locked to an instance in which it has been defeated." Anyone else getting this issue or am I doing something wrong?
been doing this process for 7 months now, i have 2 accounts, 1 account with Max toons all @ lvl 70(60 toons) the other 45 toons all @ lvl 70, and yet NO drop,that's running all every week. i have a feeling that Blizzard must have caught up to it, and although it lets you go straight the LK and kill it i'm sure the loot relates to the Main toon running it on Normal and Not Heroic loot even if it shows Heroic 25 at top right, otherwise i would have had the mount ages ago ! if anyone here can record a recent proof that this mechanic worked and show it to us then i'll continue using this method, otherwise, i'm correct and best to run it as is !
I tried this every week with my 22 toons. 3 weeks later the mount dropped. One time i failed something but i saw it immediately on the hp of the lichking that I was in norm. I think i failed something in the log off of the ID holding char. Everytime when you are in front of the lichking just check his hp. Thats a sure method :)
@@s.n.1045 did you try it using this video mechanic? as i have nearly 3 times more toons than you and farming it longer than you and still no drop, i use 2 accounts in every run, that means 2 toons per run times 60 times 7 months.
@@jormun8410 no you cant skip this boss with your alts. It is important to heal him with the alts (norm -25). If you just skip the boss and walk to the lichking, you will deafeat him on normal. I have some unlucky friends, who did something like this and they thought that they can share the ID with the alts. They did it for months and sadly for years ..... until I saw, that they just killed him everytime on normal.... = no chance for invincible. You think you are hero-25 but look at the hp of the boss and the loot. You will find out fast, that your are not on heroic. But this procedure of @Sirwint works! But it is important to do every step like he shown in this video. And yes: Bandages works very well
Valithra is optional, just do Sindragosa instead of Valithra. Don't kill Sindragosa on the main and then roll like normal. It's a little more time like 2-3 minutes more cause of that gauntlet but it's still faster than doing it normally. You can also just get the heart of Azeroth from BFA and utilize the Concentrated Flame.
@@s.n.1045before you could do that, share normal clear up to lich king and change it to heroic in the raid on alts They removed that ability to change the difficulty in the raid for whatever reason like 2 years ago
Didn't work for me, when i try to enter instance with alt after changing difficulty normal 25 to heroic 25 it says "ineligible to participate bla bla because yo are already locked." I will check with an other alt.
nice vid great editing but I have to be honest instead of going through all this extra work it's just as quick and much easier to run in 1 shot everything & then kill lich king. If this was a Raid where the bosses took longer to kill like some of the last few expansions raids then it would be worth it but not something like icc
Hey Vlad! If your just doing this with one or 2 Alts he can seem like a Haarlem but once you have it all set up it saves you a good chunk of time if your using 5+ alts IMO
@vladwell3756 depending on who you want to kill to do the skip, Sindragosa or Valithra, it'll save you 10-20 mins of your time per ICC run. Yes, you'll have to make one of your characters exclusively for the purpose of being on Normal, but you save SOOOO much time in the long run. Doing ICC normally takes around 20-30 minutes, depending on the class so you can do 10-15 alts in the span of 2 hours instead of 6-7 hours. The reality is that these guides are there since Blizz won't answer the calls of the players to implement skips in old world content.
wich bandages are people talking about? idm running the raid on my alts just need a viable way to heal on classes without build in heal :/ any tips appreciated :)
Normal and Heroic, yes. Mythic, no. Mythic IDs are a lot stricter so if you're farming the Kor'kron Annihilator then stick to mythic. If you're farming for the Tusks, utilize the skip for Normal and Herioc. Basically, on your main kill up to Paragon then utilize the same method like this video and farm Garrosh for the tusks. It's still a shitty drop for the Tusks but at least you know you won't have to farm the ENTIRE raid for those. Though, if you're doing the mount....hope Blizz implements a skip for Siege.
This method takes actually longer than just sucking it up, and running it regular on one toon lol. I've ran Icecrown 2,899 times across 9 accounts. Still never gets old. Just gotta be a patient person to not work around whatever tf this is...

Then you failed something! If you just do it like he shows in this video, it works. I did this now a few times with all of my 22 Alts. Maybe you are doing something wrong in the inviting-procedure. Both chars have to be outside of the raid, when your Main-char (ID holding Char) is inviting the Alt. Or maybe you forgot to set the raid on norm-25 before healing valithria? Just check the video again and do it step for step like in the video.
@salomonkane8359 You killed the boss before leadership passed over to your first alt which means your main was still online when the kill happened and got credit for the kill. It takes 2 mins for a character to be fully offline when it has logged, so when leadership passes over to you just uninvite the main and delist. You'll be good then.
@@loganlaslo2098 I'm having the same issue, and I tried your recommendation (wait for lead, uninvite main, delist group) and it still didn't work for me. not sure what's happening here but this method seems inconsistent and i dont know where the issue is
I made a separate discussion thread about this, here it is: Your main has to clear up to 2 remaining bosses, what I did was keep Lana'thel alive and everything else I just kill. Valithra is optional to your main's goal and can be ignored for the main's lockout. Now, your alts will have to kill the first boss, Marrowgar, to create their own separate lockout. By doing the strat of what I mentioned, you basically move the alts lockout to where the main is without tampering with the original lockout, unless you kill a boss before leadership change happens. Once you kill a boss after the leadership change happens, the alts lockout changes from being 1 kill to at the foot of the Frozen Throne. The biggest thing you need to know is that the alts MUST clear Marrowgar on 25 N. It's weird but that's how it works. Note 1: Once you enter the group, doing the strat of logging in and out, as your alt, you can zone in to ICC and run to Lana'thel. The trek takes about a minute-2minutes anyway, you still have to wait for the leadership change so might as well do something. Note 2: The hourly lockout is 10 instances per realm so if you have 13 alts and 1 main doing this strat, run 10 instances for your alts to marrowgar. Start again after an hour from when you first started your runs, if you started at 1pm on your first alt then your lockouts will refresh at 2pm. Note 3: When you enter the main's lockout as an alt, doing the strat, that counts as an instance so plan accordingly to that hour. Note 4: You can extend the lockout on your main, granted you can't kill Lich King on that character, but it'll save you some time and you can go ahead and start killing Marrowgar. Note 5: Lana'thel is better because Putricide traps you with the bugs and waste time while Sindragosa has the gauntlet. Though, all three of those bosses have to be killed to access Lich King. So, choose whichever you think is better...personally it's Lana'thel. Note 6: Your main, after doing his respective clear, can be in a rested area at that point so you don't have to wait those 40 secs. @@itsKyyyle
thanks for the detailed reply - i was following the setup verbatim but i think i finally figured out what the issue was. for some reason, on some characters when i was zoning in initially, it was actually on 25N instead of heroic, despite the difficulty being set to heroic. then when i killed marrowgar i was being locked to a normal instance@@loganlaslo2098
