I use Gel X on myself all the time! It lasts just as long as acrylic for me.. 2-4 weeks. I don’t use a bit to scratch/rough the inside of the tip before applying. I scrub the acid free primer on the inside. I also do this on the top when I’m ready to apply the gel color instead of buffing. Kiara Sky’s mini mini lamp is the BEST for self application! Hope these tips help someone! 🥰

I use a gooseneck uv lamp that attaches to the side of the table that I do my nails on. Makes it much easier cause you can turn on the lamp, leave it on and hold the nail on and move it under the light for like 15, 20 sec and then do the final cure once all the nails are on just to make sure they're secure. Hope this helps.😊

Kiara Sky has a really cool small mini light that stands upright so you don't have to hold the light at all when you're curing on the nail tips. The KS mini curing light has the same awesome design as the regular sized rechargable curing light. It's like a mini me. This makes it sooooo much easier to apply, hold and cure these full cover tips onto the nails.

I've found moving a clients hand under the light can cause movement, spillage around the cuticles etc.

Just a Lil Tip😉 I've Been Using Gel Tips a while now & I tried using a Lil bead of Acrilic on my Nail instead of the Brush on Gel it comes with, And it work's GREAT!! You Don't have to use the lamp & I Actually have them on now & it's been 3 half week's W/No Lifting, But even the Regular way is Good too, Fast once you get the hang of it 👌 Hope This Helps💕GodBless💕

So cute set! 🥰 When you place the gel onto the tip first try to apply it evenly and thinly throughout the area where you've previously buffed and then add a little more at the cuticle area, if needed. That way the product is smoothly all at the right place and there'll be no bubbles. Also spillage is avoided since you'll only have to press slightly 👍

Hey chica! First cute nails So I use this Apres system a lot The nails are super durable and i love it. As far as the light goes, Apres has upgraded their light but it seems like i would still have problems so i use the Kiara Sky mini lamp that comes with their press-on nails pack. It saves you a world of headache. You mentioned pinching, Apres has two different types of press-ons you can use, sculpted and natural. i think what may have been the issue is that you could have been using was their sculpted nails, which will pinch someone who has a flat nail bed. These came out beautifully. How long does something like this last if done professionally? And as a nail tech would you recommend this? I read someone said when they do it for their clients it lasts up to 4 to 8 weeks.

Yes cant wait to watch the entire video. I bought this after I tried KS and loved their products more, however I use KS Gelly tips with the Apres Gel x dehydrator and Primer, along with the Builder Gel =) so I mix. Lasts me 3 weeks.

Hey doll 😘 I'm so glad you're posting regularly. I have a question about these types of tips, Ok so this company & a few others are claiming that these tips are gel..But are they?? Gel has to be cured..so if these are gel then there would be no flexibility right? So they are actually plastic?? Love your designs and your nails are always on point. Ty for you're work .. im so digging these daisies..

I love this simple design Vee. I think I saw it on Apres IG where they taped the cord of the little led light to the Apres black case so it’s hanging over. They would hit the button to turn it on then adding the tip with the gel to your own nails and curing it. I hope this makes sense but I’ve always wanted to try it. Maybe one day I’ll order it. ☺️

For me, I’ve found that the way you did your second hand but rather than holding the light with it, I just used my thumb to hold down the nail (which also allows me to clean up any spillage from the sides and under the nail) then taking my free hand to cure the nail while my thumb is still down the nail down. This has made the process extremely easy and fast for me! Also I have actually forgotten to put the builder gel down as a base before and went straight into putting on the nails and did not have any issue with the wear or lifting. I still apply the builder gel as a base layer just for the extra insurance!

Ok Vee! Quick tip!! The Gelish touch led lamp is great for the application of these types of tips. You can hold the tip touch the lamp and presto!!!

Hello Vee, thanks to you I now know what that I attachment behind your e-file Dril bit is. I realized that using it the way you have it on will still let dust go in? I find that keeping the attachment on base of the drill and not the end of the bit works best for me. Let me know what you think.

Great video! I love Apres and have been using them for over a year now. I personally don't use their lamp but use the Kiara Sky's mini lamp which works great, or the mini led flashlight from Amazon placed in a nail polish clamp holder works great also. I personally love them and will never go back to acrylic.

They look fabulous Vee your daisies are so cute...I have a tip re the light...buy a nail polish bottle holder (I got mine from Amazon) slide your flashlight in between the clips and you're ready to go...I got this idea from BabyGirlsNails and it work's really well 💜💅💜

@stephnchanted I got the soft gels tips from emailcouture and used them as a dupe with the builder gel I have on hand by Amelie to adhere them. Similar steps as Vee did here. I did the mail dupe on my sister 6 weeks ago and they they still strong as day one. Mind you I have to refilled the new growth a bit but I just asked her yesterday and they are still strong. Just giving you an alternative since the apres system is a bit pricey.

When I do my nails using this method, i sit my LED lamp (without the base) so it is hanging over the edge of my table a little bit. That allows me to hold the extension in place without also holding the lamp.

Hey vee you can prop the light up on a box on the edge of it where you can use both hands at the same time and place it under the light without holding the light I hope that makes sense babe! Also for the flashy light they ha e a stand on amazon you can purchase that holds the flashy light and your hands are free to apply the tips:) hope that helps

What do you suggest we do, if we’ve made our natural nails a little weak... by removing too many layers? I’ve got some thin nails now, I’ve decided To take a break from adding tips, and just will work with gel... is that what you would do?

Hi Vee! Love this set! So perfect & beautiful., it is difficult to press them on yourself. I just did a set with Kiara Sky Gelly tips., same concept as these., but Kiara Sky has the white little lamp that makes it easier to get to on either side. I thought you had one too? You should use the baby white Kiara Sky lamp it makes it a lot easier.. I thought you did a video also on Kiara Sky tips with the lamp also??🤔 Well next time if you do have the baby Kiara Sky white lamp use it with both gel tips it will make it faster & easier., Love the daisies the nude color & the set! Beautiful 🤩 🤩🤩 Thank you for another awesome tutorial!!♥️🤩♥️🤩♥️🤩♥️🤩

Do you soak off your nails with acetone? I only ask because my nails are really sensitive after doing so, and I wanted to know if there was a way around it.
