Yeah I'm back, guys! Sorry for having been so distant for the past year or so (I'm like that gf/bf that needs space :D). Let me know what you guys wanna see more of! :)
Hey Walid! Thanks for these nice contents. I have one question. I've been an Album cover artist for over a year and have done few renders for various artists. I've still been struggling with time management and stuffs. Sometimes I have to start all over again as I always start with a specific color palette at first as per client's preferences. Sometimes it takes me 3 - 4 hours for some paintings and could take an hour or less for something more difficult. How do you plan out the whole picture at first?
I love your sketching videos! I would love to see more of that, especially slow videos where I can follow along and learn some new techniques. Something for us peasants without fancy tablets. ;)
no worries. The fact that you still return every once in a while with a new tutorial is awesome. If anything it makes it way more exiting when there is a new video
Seeing the different ways you used your brush pack, I would like you to share with us the different ways you can use the brushes in order to make the most out of them. Great video BTW ☺️
Very useful! Already enjoyed your course ubt this is a nice addition to. Btw you have size and opacity preasure enabeld right? I am a bit uncertain when i should use it or not. Like for the initial shapes it seems easier to not have opacity on but you would obviously need it for blending etc. Im curios
Hey Walid! Thank you so much for making this video. I am sure this is going to help me and everyone else a lot. I will make sure to try this piece out with all the tips you gave! You are an amazing artist and thanks for being so active with your community and giving rookies like me hope :p Take care!
Thanks for the tutorial. Please make a video about perspective, focal length, depth of field, ratio etc... sometimes my artwork looks very weird because of that. btw BG music so peaceful. love that. is it yours? ❤
Yes, love the music, and you are a art God Walid, i bow to thee! :D What content I would like to see? hmm I am so intimidated by your greatness that i cant think straight! I guess the very basics! But what ever you do, i will gladly watch!!!
Hi Walid, could you make a full tut showing how to paint a scene of a titan and a dragon or any other monster fighting, in a stormy night near to a volcano ?!
It sounds like you're using 100% opacity with no pressure sensitivity. Do you use a tablet? Make sure you can control the brush opacity somehow, either with pen pressure or with the numbers (0 to 9) on your keyboard. Not entirely sure if this is what you're looking for but good luck! W.
I love your videos! Your art is amazing and I love your style! Your music is amazing too!!!!! ---- Is anyone else having trouble downloading the brush pack though? I follow the link but there isn't a download button??
This was absolutely amazing! :D This is what I needed - I just want to start figuring out how to paint the scenes I have in my head. What resources or books would you recommend for people to learn from? For doing concept art and digital paintings like this? I want to improve my art skills for producing content for my site and channel focusing on writing, storytelling and roleplaying.
That was really awesome Walid. I am not able to download the brush pack from the evenant website link that's in the description. There's no download button on the landing page. Help please.
you make it look soo simple yet i was having fun watching a long imagining what brush strokes i would do too....man it sure has been a while since i did any drawing/digital painting D:
Absolutely love the mood music! Reminds me of expansive plains and tall mountains, Ala Conan, or Red Sonya. The tutorial was perfect. As a writer who illustrates my own stories, near- and outer-space as well as planet scenes, your tutorials are invaluable! Thank you, keep up the awesome content!
Hey Man! Thanks for the tutorials. They are relly helpful. Would love to see some more content for beginners and how do you come up with ideas on painting ? Love from Sweden!
WHen i use the link in the description to get the free concept art brush pack, there seems to be no download link/button anywhere on there, just the info 'n stuff. Anyone know where/how to get the pack?
Bit late, but you have to make an account first (just the free one) then the download button appears once you are logged in. It definitely could be more obvious.
Sorry if I am catching up a bit late. I subscribed to you when RU-vid randomly recommended your video to me (I think it was clouds tutorial). I'm inspired to start arting but I don't even know a starting point. You're an amazing teacher, would u make an absolute noob's spoon-feeding guide about how to make use of shortcuts and drawing board etc and where to start for nature-art? Sorry if that's too much I ordered a cheap drawing board with pressure-level compatibility to start with (mainly for my own lectures because I'm University grade teacher as well but I would love to art for composure and focus during my liesure). I used to do paper paintings before but that was 20yrs ago.
Oh my god that's amazing. I'm starting to think that people like you are just born to be godlike! It's incredible to imagine what would happen if other artists learned these techniques, have you ever thought about publishing a course?
Where do you have these brushes available? I might try experimenting with them... Also...I have COMPLETELY forgotten all the cheats for using Photoshop. Such as flipping the screen...or undoing. I don't use a mac either so, what does all that? Also you do that so fast. I haven't been painting as much as I've wanted to. Too much stress and anxiety and its hard to find the desire or inspiration.
THANK YOU SO MUCH... IVE LEARNED SO MANY FROM ALL OF YOUR TIPS AND TECHNIQUES.. ESPECIALLY FROM TEACHING AT SIMPLICITY, IT HELPS ME A LOT. AWESOME TEACHER, LEGENDARY LESSONS AND VIDS. KEEP MAKING GREAT VIDS LIKE THIS. -YOUR ASPIRING SUBSCRIBER ❤️
This is amazing!!! how did you could do this in only 15 minute??!! It would be only sketch if it's me lol. Thank you for the informative and great content!!! :D
Thank you for the video. Very good tips there. I still wanted to know that are the details in essence. What is that a detail? I am always find myself painting something like a rock, mountain, tree and in the end are just 3 values, one light one dark and one middle and after that? Details... what are details? I feel like i am throwing some lines, with different color just randomly without any thinking. Can you help with some advice for details? I can block things very easily but after that? I am just stuck at the details, they are just killing me.
Can someone explane: how can i call out the brush tool context menu with modes? i see only basic settings - size, hardness, angle and roundness, list of brushes
