I like these kind of video. Straight, on point, short and you see everything that needs to be seen. And of course, at the end, you get idea what to do and some examples, the rest is on us to try and do. Thank you
These are really awesome effects tips! I love this kind of stuff it really brings models to life! I agree with you Khorne models will look great with blood all over the weapons. The spider web thing is awesome too and the slobber!
I’m not someone that does this kind of art form or understands what these statues are for, but I keep coming back. I enjoyed this video a lot. Thank you.
Oh, and bit of advice for anyone doing this for the first time; make sure you put the strings somewhere where you can't or won't grab it very easily. It isn't super fragile, but it is springy and can break long after it has dried if you handle it directly, so you should be careful on where you place and and where you grab.
That stuff is great, I did a video on the same technique last year, although never thought of the medium addition for clear drool/slobber, nice addition!
Great!!! Here, UHU is the most commun glue. You can find it in bookshops, supermarkets, gas stations,.... The UHU Super Glue is fantastic, but only sold in 1 gr tubes, and quite expensive. The normal glue is not so good, but quite useful to test bits in miniatures. But with this video I can use it for more things! And I have a quite huge supply of it. Excellent video, as always!!
having completed the other two tasks i though i would first express my thanks for great tutorials on how to make cool effects. there are millions of how to paint guides through youtube, not nearly enough effects guides haha. my favourite paint story would have to be way back in 2011, started out at university and met someone doing the same degree as me, were hanging out at the shops near the campus ad walked past a games workshop store, we both seemed to hesitantly look in, after a few moments we both went in and turned out we had both played warhammer when were kids and both ended getting back into the hobby after the intro painting session :D
I've had uhu glue on my Amazon watch list since 19th June 2014, maybe one day I will actually buy some!!! I like that you can add colours to it, the slime effect was really good.
Fascinated to see you using UHU glue which is made in my home region, the Black Forest of Germany. Our German accent here is received by the rest just as funny as yours !
Interesting, I have used this glue to do similar effects but I use Tamiya clear to make the different tones. It's a more translucent effect, but yours look great!! Thank you for the video.
I was gonna use greenstuff before painting to add oily drops but this looks so good and I don't have to wait to paint the minititure I'm so happy I saw this video thanks!
I had a blood drip effect I'd use where I'd glue a small piece of thread to a weapon. Then you put a drop of white glue on the thread, let it drip down naturally, and paint it red.
I used this to put a trail of slime behind Mulch of the horticulous slimux model and slobber with a bit of blood in his mouth as he waits for the tiny nurgling to fall into his grotesque maw. Thank you for the ideas
I got some Xenomorph miniatures from the defunct Aliens vs Predator minis game, which are just begging for some slime and gore, so this is perfect! Thanks!
These are some awesome techniques! I've been looking for an effective way to do spider webs for a while now and all the others i've seen all looked far too glossy. Keep up the excellent work :D
Great video, thank you! I'm just returning to the hobby and I've ordered an admech box for 40K but this might just be the extra little gross push to convince me to roll something a little Khorne-y in AoS! Ooooer, maybe some foamy at the mouth Orks! Ah nuts I'm back to being indecisive
Specifically, my gnolls for DnD. I put some red on them to simulate "blood" but this seems like it'll add that extra layer of demonic terror to my hyena men!
