Just tried this method on my child that has ADHD/Autism and he did NOT want his haircut. Long story short, I was able to use the tips and get his hair looking pretty good! Thanks! I will be rewatching this for future cuts!
LOVE this! Some advice for anyone who doesnt want it as long on top, pull the hair up to the ceiling after the first cut rather than pulling it backwards. ❤
Thank you soooo much for making and posting this video. I cant even begin to tell you how many videos of "boys haircuts" that I have watched to be able to attempt cutting my son's hair for the first time at home! My little one is going to be 2 at the end of April, so I doubt it goes anywhere as smoothly as it did with your boys, BUT it is happening today!! I have watched so many videos and they are either entirely too much work and technicality to attempt with a 23 month old or they say "long hair cut" and it ends up shorter than I want my son's hair to be. Girrrrllll, finding your video just made my day! Thank you so much for showing me that I (possibly, 😂) can cut my son's hair and keep it long! Keep up the amazing work! You are an awesome mom and have some well behaved and awesome boys!
I’ve watched a ton of male barbers cutting young boys hair for tips on how to best do it and they are always tricky and too fine tuned. I saw this video and I was like- YES! THIS is what I need! It obviously took a MOM to show me how it’s done best! My 6 year old prefers his hair long so he already refuses to cut it, but it’s a problem and in his eyes et cetera. He has only gotten a cut by me twice in his 6 years. Thank you for this video, I think this might just be the fastest and easiest cut yet due to your tips!
Yay!!!👏😃 I'm so happy to hear we could help you with cutting your sons hair! Cutting hair can be so simple and still come out looking pretty nice! This is definitely a fast way to get some of that long hair out of the eyes without taking too much off… also they don't have too sit long in the chair👏
Thanks! My 8 year old loves when I cut his hair and so does my hubby. I went to hair school but never went further. Vids like this help refresh my skills.
Should I do anything different for curly hair? Awesome video! I’m already emotional about my toddlers first haircut. It’s soooo long and curly, but your video has given me confidence to get excited about it!
Love this tutorial, I have a son whose ADHD and can't sit too long. Hair cut this arvo for school photos tomorrow. But This tutorial so far is definitely encouraging.
I found it WAYYYY harder to see the previous cut hair as a guideline than you make it look! :D There's definitely a learning curve. I was still really grateful for this video.
Great, helpful video!! 👏 I cut my grandson's hair. I have watched a lot of videos, somehow yours was most helpful and I could understand the concept best as someone with no haircutting experience. Thanks!
Since the covid lockdown, I start cutting my son’s hair. I am not going back to salon. It’s easy, convenient and cheaper. He was 5 years old and patience is not one of his quality. So exceptionally he can have my Iphone while I cut his hair. Of course he likes momy cutting his hair now. This year, at the end of the school year …and to celebrate the summer: we bleached some section on the top of his hair. He is so proud. Just for summer camp , he will back to natural hair for school in fall.
That’s super cute! My two cousins hair would look so good like that! Me and my sister are sending Jirah and Sophie some fan mail! We hope they will like it! How are you all? Hope you had a blessed week from Wren and Ellie J!
Great video, especially the top tutorial and overhead shots! Two suggestions 1)The music is waaaayyy distracting especially when you are not narrating, and it repeats the same chords over and over. Kind of like being on hold for customer service.😖 2lIf I look away for just a second, I miss the switching to the lower number guards. It would be very helpful if you narrated the changing of the guards on your clippers, versus flashing it on the screen. Thank you so much. I'll be using your video to do my uncle's haircut at home.
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but was Savannah a hair dresser before having kids? She does an awesome job with all of the children's hair. hmmm.... I just realized that I don't think we've seen her cut Mike's hair...
She did not, she actually didn't blended at all. What you can do if you don't want to do a bald fade is that you can "fade" starting from 0 open and use the 3 finger guide to end up with 3 on the side and for the top cut to your desired lenght and then layer but not using the back as your guide but the previous layer... If you divide your top into 4, 5 or 6 section layer the next section using the previous one as a guide, this is why when she ended up with the haircut the font was like 7 inches when the back was like 3 or 4.
I love this Video so much :-) so nice Kids Boys short Haircuts so much by the best Hairdresserin Mom ? Perfect short Haircuts 👋for nice Boys ❤👍, you the best Hairdresserin 👋❤😘
Lol...ya'll this is a home haircut lesson. An example for the untrained. For moms to cut their children's hair and save money! It was an AWESOME video.😊
@@TheMooreTheMerrier So to update - I pulled off the impossible… pulled it back! Your top hair clipped, and cut the sides and back really works… That said - my nerves were too shot to do the younger brothers hair. Like disarming a bomb! Especially when it’s 1st day back to school tomorrow!! Stakes were high! I will practice practice practice, because it’s saves quite a bit of $$$ Thanks !! 😉
