Easy Bulgogi (Korean beef BBQ: 막불고기) 

Hi Maangchi, last Christmas I followed your bulgogi recipe and my friends love it! It made me happy because it finished, and they're asking where did I learn this? One of my friends knew I like to watch your videos so she said " MAANGCHI!! Her favorite "hello everybody, RU-vid mother!" I proudly said YES YES! Thanks for the wonderful recipes

I love love love her modesty so much. Maangchi is a very successful youtuber and author. Yet when a company offers her a product she's been using for a very long time, she declined it because she don't need it. She feels fine and enough with what she has. She feels content about her cooking utensils. Even when she needs something she always looking it in a local grocery store which support the local business as well. Not everybody can be this humble and down to earth, esp when many successful youtuber these days are running after adsense and sponsorship. Maangchi does not only show us how to make delicious and hearty food, she is also teach us how to be happy and content with our life. Be like maangchi. Thank you so much maangchi 😊😍

Maanchi is always an absolute joy when she comes on screen, and her videos always brighten my day. From her attitude all the way to her wonderful cooking, she's so precious and I can't thank her enough for being just who she is and doing what she does. I took my husband to a Korean restaurant for our first date, he's loved 불고기 ever since! I'm happy to see the recipe I found is almost exactly yours! I use honey in the marinade and it turns out great. I will def try this grilling method as we usually pan fry, I also love your tip for putting meat in freezer! The slicing is my least favorite part!

I had this in Pyeongteak-si-Paengseong-eup it was really good. We had EEL one night for dinner at another restaurant in Anjung-eup I was surprised at the flavors. Korean foods have become one of my favorite foods. Experiencing them in the traditional culture I think has made all the difference. I highly recommend a trip to South Korea amazing place and the people have been so friendly to us considering we knew little about how to enjoy the food.

Bulgogi flavour is so amazing. I was naughty, I used chicken thigh meat instead of beef. I didn't have beef in the freezer and the chicken needed to be used up. So fragrant and delicious. You inspire me. Thank you Maangchi. BTW, you BIG cookbook arrived today. When I opened the cover and saw the pictures of the side dishes a tear came to my eyes. They look like smiling friends.

I am so thankful that you suggested a vegetarian option! I had a pound of mushrooms and no ideas! I just made the marinade, tossed the mushrooms, and also had butter lettuce, kimchi and rice. Each roll was perfection! My 9 year old son, who adamantly refuses mushrooms, asked for seconds. I love it! Delicious! THANK YOU!

I must say I just did bulgogi the other day but this time I put it on the grill. I won't do the pan style again if I can help it. If I have to use the pan I will cook it in batches so it doesn't steam on me. But the grill char is Sooo good. Hehe.
