Ingredients:
120g unsalted butter
1/8 tsp salt
60g caster sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla extract
140 cake flour
I used a Wilton 1E Piping tip
Bake at 150°C for 23~25mins

I know adding egg yolk adds richness but will there be a difference if i used a whole one? Also, how much cocoa powder should I add if I were to make them chocolate flavoured ?

The cookie flavour wouldn't be affected much if you use a whole egg, so it's okay to use a whole egg~ egg yolk cookies are more tender and crumbly in texture than cookies that uses whole eggs. For chocolate flavour you can try replacing 10g of flour to cocoa powder

Hi! Yes you can use salted butter. Just omit the salt in the recipe 😊

I'm glad you enjoyed 🥰 I haven't tried with cookie mold before but its worth a try! Just make sure the dough stays firm and cold while you are working on it, so the cookie doesn't spread too much in the oven 🤗

... after using mold to cut the dough, put the baking tray back into the FRIDGE (so the dough can firm up the shape) few minutes before baking the cookies.

Oh no, sounds like you might have stirred the dough too much, which makes it tough. Once all the flour is all absorbed into the batter evenly, stop mixing and put into piping bag. Good luck!

You can try reduce the sugar to 50g but I wouldn't go lower than that as it might affect the cookie outcome.

I have never tried with whole egg. You might have to adjust the amount of flour since a whole egg has more moisture.

@@sadiaijaz4408 Refrigerate the tray of piped cookie dough at least 1hr before baking. That way, the cookies will not spread out so much during baking. I hope this helps!
