This is the best way to ensure strong branching and blooms all season long. Here in California Superbells can last for a couple of seasons. No matter where you grow them, it is important to give them a trim every once in a while. Enjoy the process.

This is my sign to go ahead and do the same. It hurts to see some blooms go but its all worth it in the end. Thank you sir!

How do you grow such beautiful Calibrachoa? I seem to have trouble growing it 😢

It took me a while to figure them out. I usually have the best luck in hanging baskets. I think it has to do with the coco liner and airflow to the roots, but that's just my feeling. I have also found that Proven Winners branded plants are much more hardy and do better than others. I know it sounds strange, but it's just what I experienced. I also have a hard time finding PW plants but often special order them just so I can ensure better success. Thanks for stopping by. Happy gardening. 🌿🌿🌿

My superbells are dying. We’ve had a ton of rain (even though mine are under my porch and not directly in the rain) and not a lot of sun lately. I think I’m going to have to cut it all the way back where there will be no flowers. Do you think they may grow again? Should I put some potting soil at the top to protect from root exposure or what do you recommend to get growth started? I don’t have a green thumb so this is difficult for me. Help please!

Hello there! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching to video. I feel for you... I have had the same thing happen to be after lots of rain last year. I actually lost 3 of my containers because they never were able to dry out. I finally had to move some of them out of the rain, but they still didn't do well. So, what I had to do is trim them and cut off about 50% of the plant. It seemed to help a bit, but it did take warmer weather to get them started. If you've lost a bunch of soil, you might want to add a bit of soil. Also, if you think they've had a lot of loss of nutrients due to run off, you may want to give them a bit of slow release fertilizer like Plant Tone. Often too much water can deplete the soil. Hope this helps. 🪴🌿

Do you remove old dried flowers? I am constantly doing that hoping my plants bloom more but its so exhausting 😂

Great question. One of the amazing ingredients attributes about all Proven Winners Superbells is that they don’t require deadheading the spent blooms. It makes taking care of them so much easier. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! 🌿🌿🌿

What fertilizer do you use? Is there a liner in the pot?

Hello. I do not line these hanging baskets due to the fact that the Superbells really enjoy drying out a bit. I have had the most success with them in hanging baskets and have never had an issue with them drying out. They are on daily drip for about 10 min in the morning. I also use the following fertilizer: www.amazon.com/Premium-Water-Soluble-Fertilizer-Container/dp/B00H9H1PLA/ref=sr_1_1_pp?crid=2N2QTU67NU0NC&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.cGx_zZj13eI8TNV3YABC9kZLdGfD8eCY8us9EbI1AKvhCqXBppL1vIAsoXiFTrA_ktb6NdUHh-ZMV96hMWeQp-85kCpTr04X-Z99HYL51zdTgYO9-M_fppUxV4xzNguI8q6iJeC3-pi74mF8PTjNAV0OZftE9m8Eh_feQ0y8B-SsjLZTT0O0pGma_QrEQExfGzr2TSkWFRjLKzBXUpcmVLfL3SdsydRw-ZlSEkIQxuTXRihFiabYNcrGw7zs_aglUlk7T4EThNLPg4B62a3U6pZxvR0YLw5nqn4DKlnwSwM.vlbpD-tEAnXYDm0IETkq93QmftyvBgH7ofDi7xQeLNs&dib_tag=se&keywords=proven%2Bwinners%2Bwater%2Bsoluble%2Bfertilizer&qid=1712869769&sprefix=proven%2Bwinners%2Bwater%2Caps%2C154&sr=8-1&th=1
