Easy Color Grading Using Magic Bullet Looks

In this tutorial I will show you an easy way to have professional looking color grades using Magic Bullet Looks. I will also have two similar tutorials in Sony Vegas and After Effects. I only have MBL and and Misfire, so I won't get into anything else from the MBS. Please leave a like and a comment and subscribe if you would like more content like this!

I really love the colours of these, they are so dynamic and breath taking. I'm going to wait for the sony vegas one. I'm currently new to sony vegas and watching your tutorials have helped me a lot. I first used microsoft movie maker which is simple but i want to make my video's more creative and experiment with the colour gradings, adding black bars, slowing the speed. thank you for making this, also you are very good at cinematography. i'd be surprised if you don't go far with this stuff, i'm kind of new to actual videography, i've been doing skateboarding edits for like 2 years but i'm getting into the more professional side of editing videos of more than just skating (lifestyle, timelapses, etc.) using color grading and what not, and your videos are extremely helpful so thank you

I know the idea is a tutorial, but I really like the first scene without "correction" maybe a little adjustment in contrast. Depending the mood of video this desaturated scenes would look good too.

Exactly! It's all about the mood and time of your film. This film was very cool colors with blues, but if it had been desaturated and sad then it would have set a much different feel for the film. Thank you! Have you seen Love Where Are You? It is on my page and is where the clips are from.

Hi Tom, just found your channel!. thanks so much for the tutorials.. i'm a photographer learning about video, and these tuts are really helpful, and also in my favorite editor Vegas!!... Premier was too big for me to learn... and I though Vegas was quite a lot easier and did what I needed it to do. One thing I've found though, colour grading is pretty basic in Vegas, and I find AE much much better... but its a pain to add that to my workflow. looking forward to upcoming tuts where you'll possibly cover this dilema thanks very much Mark

Like I said in the tutorial it is all interpretation and depends on the look you're going for. There isn't a specific formula for all color grades.

how come i dont have lightflex on my looks? i cant even find the exposure option in CC video effect. i really want that soft look. i hope you can help me with this. im running premiere pro cs6 on win7. i got the red giant magic suite 12.1
