-If you do not have full blank pages to work with (like in the Interleaved Bible) and do not want to cover the text of the Bible, you can scale this down to fit the margins of your Bible, use a separate notebook or journal, or create a tip-in! -I do not prep my pages with gesso or anything beforehand. It's not necessary with the supplies I use regularly (listed here). In fact, acrylic paints can even be used as a page prep and will prevent pens/supplies that normally would bleed through the Bible page from bleeding.

Thanks for sharing this video. Before I could begin my adventure in Bible Journaling I had to remind myself multiple times "Creativity takes courage". Thank you for being both transparent and courageous. In my very first Bible Journaling page I attempted to experiment with Gelatos and baby wipes. Without realizing it, I very quickly rubbed a hole in my page. In the end I concluded that maybe that was the perfect beginning. Now when I pick up my journaling Bible I remind myself the book already has a torn page so I can't do much more harm. Eventually I fixed the hole by adding sticker paper to the back to the page. Like you state, my heart was in the art. Hopefully my artistic skill will improve as my journey with the word strengthens.

I love your revised page, beautiful colors. Thanks for sharing that we all make mistakes, but we learn to just pick up and carry on, then get surprised by how everything all turns out!

Beautiful! I'm checking my paintbrushes for a flat one! The colors I have will work,as well. The art work is between you and the Lord and He has given you a canvas to show off your talents! I'm sure your son will treasure it because your artwork was made in Love!! Hugs and many blessings!!!!!

This video really encouraged me. I do a lot of drawing and just copying verses back out, and multiple times I will misspell a word, or something else. And this was a great reminder that bible journaling is for the Lord, and it matters where the heart is in making it, rather than what others will think of the outcome.
