I’m the same!! I watched 2 RU-vid videos on how to cornrow your own hair and I got it!! What helped me was to remember the technique with my fingers and not watch myself braid in the mirrror. So basically cornrow with your eyes closed and you’ll get it if you’re struggling! 😂😂 TFS Niara 💗

Hey so idk if it’s just me but I’m almost always doing Dutch braids instead of cornrows due to general confusion and lack of skill with cornrowing my own hair. I have had it done many a times by professionals and G❤d bless them for their skills and talents. A cornrow tutorial is desperately needed lol. Thanks 🙏🏽

i think it came out beautifully this is actually the protective style i do for my relaxed hair thats allowed it to get very long because my hair is stretched and my ends are protected. out of curiosity why only a week? i tend to leave mine in for a month or so and i find it really helps with retaining length. before i started doing this my relaxed hair wouldnt pass my shoulder and now its at my hip doing this. i still wash it weekly and moisturize as well as oiling my scalp every other day

Do you know why some women's nape seem to itch and get the white bump when they do this style? Even if the braids aren't tight and the hair is moisturized? I love this style but I run into this issue and I'm not sure whether its just not for me or if I should just make some layers

Your hair might be too fragile for a style like this. Everything isn’t for everyone so I’d stay away from it if you have the same issue every time
