Garmin has mapping but it's not the best for mapping... my hummingbird helix 9 side imaging is what I use the most

Shorten your plastic so the hook is closer to the tale end of the plastic

Brother, shortened minnow, cut body 1/2 they took it off hook. used almost bottle of crappie bites. Do I need larger hook. using 1/16 & 1/32 jigs. Any ideas

@@JERRYSIROKY what style hooks are you using? Use jig heads that have a wire bait keeper only. Also, are you using cheap plastics?

Too many variables in that 1 question. Your fishing a pond, river, lake, lowland Reservoir, Highland reservoir, Northern states or Southern states, stained water, clear water, dark water. Size of each body of water matters too. If you don't have deep water then you must have running water... if you don't have either one then the place your fishing is trash and not worth fishing 👍. @WalkingOnWater I have the Panoptics ice bundle rigged up to mount on the front but side of my boat I never really gave it a good try yet on open water, It works great on the ice . I think the transducer is a little different on the ice fishing rig, I'll be trying it out next week. $1.100 for a Panoptics transducer for my boat kind pricey . Thanks for replying sir I'm always looking to learn more and you know your stuff.

The jig has a fall rate... 1/32 jigs will fall 1 foot per second... so if the fish are 6 feet deep then it's a 6 second count to put the jig at their depth.
