Tip for beginners: You can use something else other than a nametag, its called tags and they're shorter to type than nametags. Think tags like the ID of a specific entity (well you still can assign multiple entities to the same tag but that doesnt matter) Example: /summon giant ~ ~ ~ {Tags:["boss"]}
for anyone struggeling to get the chain command blocks to work, make sure all of the command block (including the impulse one) are facing the one behind it :)
@MudkipNinja you don't understand how much McStacker has helped me! I've made so many maps and it has saved me hours!! I learned it hear and I'll be forever thankful.
For anyone wondering how you remove the original bossbar which Mudkip didn't tell you to do, you put this command in "/bossbar set minecraft:slimeking players" (Without the quotation marks.)
Thank you SO much for this! I’ve been wanting to make my own custom Minecraft bosses for a long time, and thanks to you, I can do it right! You are awesome! 👍👍✨
Im currently using this tutorial to make a Terraria like boss system where you can gather specific items to summon a range of different bosses on a survival map i think its going to be really great so thanks for an updatede version of the tutorial !
This is such a great rabbit hole, I was the one adding like health below name and death count to my friend's private server. I accidentally fell down this rabbit hole when I watched mysticat's custom boss fight, that inspired me to learn command blocks and make new content for my school friends to enjoy.
i am making a server with special items and no natural ancient debris spawn with only one set of netherite armor and tools and i wanted a boss fight and the other tutorial on our channel was bad. I have been working on this server for almost 7 months. Also maybe when in the actual bosfight there could be different phases and special invulnerable phase(s) where the player needs to attack special crystals or something else ' Also my boss has 500 hearts or 1000 health points
i'm making a mmorpg in minecraft to play with my friends, without mods, and this is EXTREMELY USEFULL, thx you soo much for doing that wonderfull quality content. on my mmorpg, my only fear is that my server crash because the use of many command blocks :( anyway, thank you soo much for helping PS: Sorry if my english write is bad, I am from Brasil
like bedrock wither which summons 3 wither skeletons when it is changing phases and it also places withered roses or whatever they called and it is enough strong to make you a problem to countter
Here's a little trick in tricky, just thought to put this in here lol Ok so have a repeating command block that is always active with this command, also the "____" just means you put a name there lol, also you need a bat and a few blazes 1. To @e[name=____] @e[name=____] 2. Effect @e[name=____] fire resistance 255 255 Blaze king mob, just throwing it out there ;)
I'm making my own wither skeleton king boss and that's so easy and I'm gonna make his crown have custom abilities and it will jump on players and do tons of damage.
I thought about it! And I cover this in future episodes, but while it would be really fun, its a bit too advanced for an easy level tutorial, so I might revisit this idea in a future video/project.
Hey, I know this comes one year delayed but I just recently found your Video(s) on creating custom Bosses. I am having Problems, because my Bossbar doesnt link to my entity(I am playing 1.20.1). I tried it first with my own, but it didnt work, then I tried to do it with the slime to see if I made smt wrong but even after i followed step by step and tripple checked everything its still not working in my world. Do you have any Ideas what I could have done wrong or if its about the mc Version? Beside that I want to give big props for the video Quality, even if it dindt worked for me I enjoyed a lot watching it and I even learned something about how MC Commands work! Good Job!!!
Well, kind of. It is possible with multiple commands such as /summon, /playanimation, /playsound, /particle, /damage and so on. The methods are different from Java to Bedrock and so you cannot have the same exact boss on both versions, as they have pros and cons. You can pick the game that suits you best for those. I'm sure that you can have decent creations on Bedrock as well!
the /bossbar set minecraft:boss1 players @a[distance=..20] command doesn't work for me. it only works when i say it manually in chat but not in the command block.
I'd love to make this cos minecraft gets a bit easy and boring sometimes. But i cant as i play the bedrock version. Are these possible on bedrock? Great video btw. my dream is to make a custom rpg map kinda like zelda.
Thank you so much! You definitely *can* make custom enemies and ideas like this on Bedrock, but the process is mostly different. Unfortunately the game is coded differently so there are a bunch of differences with command blocks and NBT data. There are other ways to do it that I may look into someday, but for now wish you the best of luck!
I acciddentally deleted the main command block that summons the boss, and now each time that I summon him he gets teleported to the void, I tried to summon him by deactivating that command block, but he spawns without the bossbar. What do I do?
do we know if this works on modded mobs cause i'm trying to make a boss using something from the ice and fire mod with all the dragons and stuff but the boss bar doesn't update with the health so its just an empty boss bar so i don't know if i did something wrong or if i need to use a minecraft mob
Hey i just wacht your video, i was intesered about creating minecraft bosses for my tower defense map I play in bedrock version in ps4, i still testing the command block commands work Thanks for the tutorial 😀👍
I’m learning so much. However I have one question. @MudkipNinja I wanted to use a spawner still to spawn my boss. I already set up a timer to place the spawner I tried a repeating command block that constantly sensed if the boss is around, but it keeps sending the signal and the chain doesn’t work. However an impulse sensor won’t work unless I manually add a redstone signal. It’s the closest work around I found so far. I’m running a command /execute if entity @e[name=myboss] before the chain. How would I modify this for a spawner for my boss Ty!!
I'm doing the same thing but with an evoker boss but the part where you used execute store is not working. It tells me that there is an invalid argument at the place where I put health
Hm make sure “Health” is capitalized for a start, and then I’m not sure, perhaps the Evoker has a different path for health? I’ll look into it as well but that shouldn’t be the case.
@@AbroadPhionix67 yes we do? I used it for my fnaf build to represent how much power you have left. It worked perfectly (except after three night/levels I lost the world due to errors and junk 😢) everything worked btw, cams animatronics, timers, everything. (No I didn’t use a mob for the animatronics) I play on the switch btw
Been thinking of cool summoning ideas for my boss, does execute unless entity above (or ~ ~1 ~) @e[type=item] work? Though, how do I make it a specific item? I came up with this during school.
Yes this does work! That's a good idea, but you'll have to get into the nitty gritty of nbt tag parameters. I would start by googling "how to detect item entities in minecraft" and go from there!
for some reason showing the boss bar using the command those't work. It gives me an input telling me that Nothing Changed and that these players are already on the bossbar
I might need a bit more information… as in he only spawns it with 81 out of 120 health? Or he only has a max of 81 health? Either way, make sure both the “Health:” and “Name.generic.max_health” tags are set to the same value in your summon command.
Hey, I really don't know what did I do wrong, but I could not see a bossbar that I made when I summoned the Slime. I even couldn't see the health that I set for him (Does little two green lines that the guy in the video set). Is there anyone who can help me fix this. On the website for the boss creation when I pasted the copyed command that I got on the website and placed it into a command block the Slime spawned but, again I could not see the bossbar. Can anyone help me fix this? These are my commands: Command Block that summons the mob: /summon slime 194 6 52 {CustomNameVisible:1b,Health:120f,Size:8,CustomName:'{"text":"The King of Slimes"}',Attributes:[{Name:generic.movement_speed,Base:0.4},{Name:generic.attack_damage,Base:7}]}, then Chain command block that goes after the mob summoning command block: /summon slime 194 6 52 {CustomNameVisible:1b,Health:120f,Size:8,CustomName:'{"text":"The King of Slimes"}',Attributes:[{Name:generic.movement_speed,Base:0.4},{Name:generic.attack_damage,Base:7}]}, then the repeating command block command: execute store result bossbar minecraft:slimeking value run data get entity @e[name="The King of Slimes", limit=1] Health . So if anyone see's where the problem is I whould apprecheate it if he/she whould help me to fix the issue. Thank you. Have a nice day/night!
