You literally have changed my crochet life!! The turning granny square blanket was what I've tried to figure out for yrs! Now its perfect every time!. The rectangular one is also great and now this 5/2 is another gem! Thank you so much for sharing your time and patience with us!
I've always used the 5/2 method of c2c. I've also discovered that if you will ch 5, tr into last 3 ch, then turn, it seems to be a little easier. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Love your videos!
I am in love with this pattern! Thank you for helping me make my first "straight and matching edges all around" afghan. I used self-striping and made a full-sized afghan. Like the border a lot too---thank you! I found it much easier than other C2C patterns I've tried.
I am finally attempting my first C2C blanket. I have avoided making one until now, as it looked too involved. This video is very helpful. I feel I have a decent grip on it now. The one thing I noticed immediately was that there were gaps which I do not like. This video was exactly what I needed. I have tight tension when crocheting, and am a bit particular about gaps and the like. Thank you
Using this pattern for my first ever c2c blanket (im about half way through using james c brett swurlywurly in colouway carnival). You turtorials make my crochet life so much easier! Thank you!❤
To make holes smaller I use either a 3.5 or 3.75 hook & instead of dc I do hdc which is US terms. Just working on my first C2C now. It's so fun & goes quickly
I loved the cat cameo. My cat has to sniff EVERYTHING. Even if she’s sniffed it a hundred times before. So she absolutely sticks her face in whatever I’m doing like your cat did. 😂
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had been watching c2c videos and was not really liking the chain 3 holes. And I did not want a granny square look. But your 5/2 way of a c2c is really fantastic. I have working with some of my left over yarns to practice. So again Thank You for a wonderful tutorial.
I've really struggled to understand other C2C videos and have frogged everything I've tried, but I was recommended the 5/2 method and this video in particular. Can't wait to get started! I'm determined to crack C2C! 😁 Subscribed! 👍
I tried this two years ago when I started. But not with you. Now the neighbour is having a boy so Im going to learn your way using beautiful Ice Cream yarn in Blues. Thankyou Bec, always 😍 👌
I've yet to make a C2C blanket-so thanks for "walking" us through the how-to!🤩 Your explanation and showing how really sunk in😁, and I didn't even feel that I needed to jot down the instructions. Will be making a similar to your rainbow striped for a nephew & his gf's baby 👶.
Thanks Rebekah! This is really lovely and as always you make your tutorials so easy to follow and understand. I will definitely be giving this a try when I have finished my square Moss Stitch blanket. 😘
It's absolutely brilliant. I've always used the 6, 3 merhod, but I see what you mean with the 5, 2 method. What are the measurements of your beautiful blanket?
Hello. Thankyou for this tutorial. You've made it so clear to follow. I have a question please. If I do the decrease for rectangle shape does this mean I get a longer blanket before I start decreasing ( I've not gotten to decrease stage yet .) Hope this makes sense? Thanks in advance ☺
Thank you! My absolute favourite border for a c2c is a Moss Stitch Border! You can find my tutorial for it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HhPRHKNymfU.html
This is great. I love doing C2C but mine always comes out sloppy with all the gaps between the blocks. Could never figure out how to eliminate that. I will now plan for my C2C project. Thank you so much
This is beautiful! I've been crocheting on and off for over 40 years but only the really fine detail things like doilies. I have always hated blankets with lots of holes but this is awesome. I'm going to make a baby blanket for my daughter's friend using this. Thanks for giving me new inspiration for my crochet :D
Hi Rebekah Oh this is so lovely and makes a super blanket. Thank you for the great tutorial as always. Take care and stay safe Hugs Amanda from Lincolnshire xxxx
Hi. Before you start to decrease, what should be the "block count" for every row pls? I've made 4 C2C rectangles, 2 was perfect, 2 I did something wrong, can't figure out what or where, one row is longer than the other, both where I start to decrease. Thank you 😊
I was with you from the beginning. Then when you started The Binding off binding of just before you changed colors you went from the Lower Side to where they were all even and you didn't show how to get from the other side to that side
