What a great idea to carry your yarn with you to get rid of working ends in... which is boring... Thanks for sharing.....will try it right now.....You guys stay safe 💗💗
Using this stitch for the lapel look in cardigan I'm making for my niece. Its going to be a Jack Skellington cardigan, with beanie that looks like his head, cardigan for his jacket, scarf for his bow tie & and fingerless gloves. This is for her Halloween costume but hoping nice enough for her to wear Mardi Gra! Thank you Crystal , you have opened a way for me to make things my family love. I will always be so grateful 💞🙏 by the way .. all this is from your tutorials 🤷♀️ you inspire my ideas and make them happen!
I have been using this stitch to make dishcloths and did not realize it was actually a stitch, lol. Looks totally different when you do color changes! Learn something new every day. Thanks Crystal!
And just like that my crochet world just opened up. Where have I been?? Now I know what it means to carry your yarn. A big THANK YOU Crystal for this tutorial!
Hi there “ Crystal “ Hey “ wow “ now that’s a real good looking stitch , it reminds me of a tweed pattern well it’s similar to a tweed pattern from a company carried a design like that “ It was an women’s apparel that use to carry it “
I learned the "Houndstooth Stitch" from You Crystal 😊💝! It is definitely my favorite 💝💝💝!!! I am making my Sweet Hubby a Beanie right now in Black & Tan using the Houndstooth Stitch & it is looking awesome 😊💝! Thank You so much my Sweet Girl & sending much love to You & Your Family all the way from Arcadia, Florida 😊💝!!!
I absolutely love this stitch. The texture when done in a solid color is wonderful. I've made the hat, a scarf and I'm going to make mittens all in black and white houndstooth... to go with my houndstooth jacket. A bit much, right? Go big or go home, lol.
Hi Crystal. It sure is beautiful stitch. Have learned so.much from your beautiful patterns, ur tutorials r so easy to follow. I appreciate the time u put in these especially now. Blessings & continue success. Stay safe & healthy. Take care 🙂 💜
I’ve used this stitch before in one solid colour , who knew that it would look this amazing in alternate colours. Thank you Crystal, and thank you to your daughter for modelling your design so stylishly.
Good evening. Just wanted to let you know that I have used and done many of your tutorials and find them very easy to understand and follow. Been crocheting for 45years but computer things sometimes stump me so I have been unable to share my projects with you.
I’ve always been afraid to try this stitch because it looked complicated so I never even watched a tutorial on it until now. THANK YOU so so much Crystal!!!
That's very eye catching..believe it or not..in all my years crocheting I still haven't tried this. I have a project this will work well for. Thank you Crystal.
This is one of my all time favorite stitches! I have made numerous baby blankets using houndstooth stitch and a variety of colors. My favorite of course is using the chunky yarn or the velvet. Amazing in every color combination. I think my favorite baby blanket (and matching hat) was a light pink and a bright pink. So pretty.
Thank you soo much Crystal !!! This is a beautiful stitch I made your gloves for my husband but I love this tutorial to show how to carry the yarn and a better understanding of the stitch. you explain it so well please do more sample tutorials for other stitches.💕💕🧶 stay safe love ya!
Thanks for doing this tutorial Crystal. I've watched the hat tutorial and even purchased the yarn, but I haven't crocheted it yet. I've carried yarn on a project only once, so I needed this refresher!
This is to funny! I have been making a lapghan in self stripping yarn using this stitch & never even realized it was the houndstooth stitch 😂 Thanks Crystal for straightening me out 😉
So Pretty I have to make something with the pattern......I get myself into trouble watching your channel 😱 my to make list is growing 😂 Just curious as to why you don't make blankets...you are so talented...... Looking forward to today's Bod Squad video... keep yourself safe 💗💗
Crystal how much yarn do you think it would take to make a baby blanket approx 34 by 34? I'm fixing to start one tomorrow with Red Heart Soft yarn. I bought two of each color. That's over 2000 yds
Is there a reason you can’t carry the yarn up the sides by starting your first two rows from the same side and following by crocheting alternating colors
If you started the first two rows the same, those rows would look like the hounds tooth pattern, and when you got to the end of the third row, yarn would be on the other side but you can give it a go, see what it looks like 😊
