I have a question. What if your stich marker is in the front where the eyes are? when I tried doing it I was on row 25 instead of 26. do I move me stich marker to the back where I land?

I cannot seem to figure out how to do the front of the seahorse when you are making the front of it wider my count never comes up right six single crochet then a single crochet in a decrease +6 more never comes out right what am I doing wrong?
@lisastraumagedanken2372
@lisastraumagedanken2372 2 года назад
I got it. In round 27 you first have to do 6 single crochet and than you do (a single crochet and a decrease). This therm in brackets equals 1 time. So you go on and do 1sc and 1decrease 5 more times. After that you do 6sc again. In the end you should end up with 24 stitches. Hope that this could help you.

What size yarn are you using on this project? I am using a chunky size 6. My head is so huge but I am following your instructions exactly.

Jillian check the comments about the head being too big further down in the comments. I made a change to the pattern and it works well.

Hi I've been using these tutorials for a few weeks while I've been learning to crochet and I've been using normal acrylic wool 😊 they do come out smaller but look just as adorable

So, I have a trans male friend whose pregnant. In the community, that's known by some as a seahorse, because in the seahorse species males are the ones who carry the baby. I'd like a doll big enough for the baby to play with once it's born. That way, when it's time, the notion will be able to be introduced easily so their parents can have a place to start when explaining how they came to be. All that to ask, do you know any bigger patterns, all the ones I see are really little.

I believe that the size depends on your hook and yarn. I'm currently making this with a 4.0 mm hook and bernat baby blanket super bulky yarn and i can already see that it's going to be larger than her's.

If you use a #7 Jumbo or #6 Super Bulky yarn it will turn out much larger.

Why is my head like WAY BIGGER than your head? What am I doing wrong
@claresag2012

OMG the same thing is happening to me lol. I have done the head it's huge. The body is looking quite small. What size yarn did you use? I am using a #6.
@claresag2012
@claresag2012 Месяц назад
So I have altered the pattern so the head is smaller. I stopped at 36 sts did not increase to the 42. Then instead of the 5 rows at 42 sts I did 4 rows of 36 sts. I also made the snout smaller only row 3 I didn't do row 4. Just to make it shorter. The Coronet I made shorter so only 22 chains and then 9 rounds of the SC, picot and slip stitch. It turned out even better. Give that a try.
