Found interesting the way you started each row. I do this stitch start with a chain and flip as usual so you have shells on top and sides. Then I’m able to do a shell border around the whole blanket comes out absolutely beautiful
This video with your example graph is SO wonderful. Thank you this pattern is exactly what I have been wanting to make a baby girl blanket. Thank you with all my heart 💓
I love that u have the main pattern, drawing, and great focus, and u speak it out. I totally get it!! I will be making a baby blanket for my friends baby.
I like that you do a foundation base of double crochets instead of a foundation row of chains. It is much neater the way you do it. Thank you for sharing.
I love the colors you are using. It really helps to use different colors to show how the pattern will be when finished. I used this pattern to make dresses for doll that cover air freshener cans and toilet tissue covers. It's one of my favorites to crochet.
Excellent illustration, thank you so much! If I didn't change colors and just went back and forth , rather than starting on the same end each time, it wouldn't have a front and back look, but I'd follow the same instructions, would it work OK?
Soo nice mam..hope i can make my own..i also ablogger but i use different materials..i use plastic twine as a gown ..wallet..bags..one day ill try ur beautiful work on my matrrials..thank u that so helpful mam..👍
Love your video! I finally started to understand how to read written patterns because of YOU--> THANK YOU! QUESTIONs: what is the type of yarn you used (size, weight, brand etc.) and side of needle. I love how yours came out and want to create the exact same look. Please post.
Very pretty kristina I do like how you show the pattern/diagram at the top so we can follow that's very helpful thank you and excellent English 😊Amanda xx
Dear Kristina, thank you, I have made the blanket, but struggling to tidy all the joined ends and loose threads? What is your favourite method please. Thank you.
Hey, hope you don't mind my chiming in, I recommend a border where you hold them all and crochet over top of them. This is great for hiding edges that aren't perfectly straight as well. Start with a first row of single crochet. Hope that helps!
This may be "easy" but it's definitely NOT for beginners. I need to learn how to do basic crochet and then come back because I love the look of this blanket, it's very pretty! I'll be back...
Super nice method in english . I m impressed from your way of showing the written pattern also... Thanks a lotttttttttttttttt. Do you know how to make crochet barbie dresses ? Then show us plsssss.. I m from INDIA
Thank you for sharing. This is very easy to understand especially with the graphics at the top of the screen. What do I do about the wool that is hanging loose at the end of each row? I want to make a baby blanket for my sister. Many thanks xx
It has been a while since I've done one, so hope I can get this across clearly. You will need a base row all the way around first. In a corner stitch, slip stich, then single crochet (3x's) in corner stitch, then single crochet down side, and, again 3 single crochets in (each) corner. The scalloped ends are in 5's, so you should be able to chain 2, then connect, then chain 2, connect, all the way across. On the dips, I would suggest a double crochet to connect, and on the peaks, you can probably slip stitch. When you get all the way around, slip stitch to to top of first single crochet, chain 2 (this counts as first double crochet), then in very corner stitch, do a treble crochet AND a double crochet...do this in every corner (3 stitches..double/treble/double). This provides rounded corners, and gives less tension on the sides. How you want to do the second row will be up to you. If you want flat edges, you could double crochet all the way around. If you want scalloped edges all around, just follow her scalloped pattern. The sides aren't as clear cut, but you can usually get them to work out okay. Hope this helps. If you have any questions, let me know.
Hi. If you look at the beginning of the video, she flips it over to show the back. It looks different to the front. If you were to continue as usual you would have one row shells and the reverse shell for the next row. By always starting from the same side the shells line up nicely. Hope this helps.
This is an excellent tutorial, but instead of changing yarn colour for every row, how do you turn, so you can just keep using the same yarn for the length of the (baby blanket) project?
