Just to let you know i had made a couple of these for my sons family in 2019 Christmas, and they came to me this year and asked if I could make some more. Theirs were still in great condition, but they really enjoyed them.
Also, who in their right mind would give this, or any of your videos a thumbs down? That's just crazy! All of your videos are great and so easy to follow 😊
customcrochetbynoelle if people don't like it, why don't they just move on?? Miserable people are going to be miserable regardless and they try to recruit others...ignorance abounds...Chrystal and her tutorials are AWESOME.
A set of washcloths are the perfect gift (especially these!) I've never given them to people where they didn't love and use them. I love the idea of also adding a hot pad as well if it's for the kitchen or little circles to take off your makeup if they are for the bathroom! LOVE!!
Found this tutorial this morning and made one. Love it! I made mine a little smaller. Used an H hook and chained 32 and did 26 rows. Came out to be about 10x10. Nice size. Great pattern and tutorial! These will make nice Christmas gifts. Thanks, Crystal!
Did changing your hook/row/count sizes keep you from having to use more than one skein? This was the size I wanted to make mine, but I want to only use 1 skein.
Teresa I used size I Hook because I don't have an H Hook. But I chained 32 chains like Mellody suggest and mine turned out the perfect size and it only took one skein per cloth for me. You will still have a tiny tiny bit of yarn left over from each skein. So yes go for it with the 32 chains :).
I watch several of my favorite knitting and CROCHET tutorials. Those who actually show detail. You are DEFINITELY AT THE TOP OF MY LIST for actually learning how and being able to start and complete a beautiful finished project. Out of all the time you have been on you have remained the same and consistent. Some people after they have been on for awhile have turned "cute". They lost the art of being a good tutorial teacher. THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU...helping me learn and make some wonderful projects. I watched you for a year or so before I actually subscribed. I was leary about what subscribed meant. Now I am glad I am subscribed to your link I never miss a new tutorial and very much enjoyed the gardening and your husband who is a sweetheart and your adorable family. THE BEST OF LUCK AND MAY GOD ALWAYS BLESS YOU.
You are so talented! I love to watch you crochet, and do your tutorials. I understand yours because you make it so easy looking. Other crocheters are not. At least for me.
Thank you so much, I’m a beginner, started April this year. I bought some cotton yarn and sat down to tackle this project, never used cotton before, task in itself, then second stitch in, treble crochet, never done one of those before. This was an enjoyable challenge, I lost a stitch somewhere along the line, but I completed it, it’s fabulous, I will be making more, hopefully next one will take me less time. ❤
I've followed zillions of Crochet tutorials over the years but yours Crystal is by the most clear to follow. From crocheting baby dresses to dishcloths (love them all), you go to great lengths to make sure your readers understand and see exactly what you are doing stitch by stitch. Thank you so much. :)
Perfect gift, and great tutorial! Thank you, Crystal. I have already made one set, and working on my second. I decided to use white, due to COVID, they may rather have ones they can bleach. I have also, found some colors run. I would not want to use them on my face. I did make mine smaller, using a H hook, and a chain of 32. They are a bit tighter than your’s , but perfect face washcloth size. I plan to make more for kitchen use, using colors, and a larger hook. The texture is perfect for a kitchen dish washcloth. Thanks!
Crystal always explains the directions on how to do one of her tutorials and does a great job in explaining each and every one. Anyone that thinks differently should keep to themselves or don’t post anything. Crystal has been my go to person for a few years now and I love how she teaches. I always go to her teachings and videos when I want to know how to make something. The people that say negative things about her teachings could help theirselves by not following her and for not saying bad things about her. Crystal you are amazing and please disregard these naysayers.
Love the detail in your video. Love how you're encouraging too....'Do the best you can.' I'm just getting back into crocheting and I think these will make nice gifts as I practice. Thanks again.
Thank you for such a good tutorial. I really like this stitch. My daughter has changed her habits and no longer uses shower scrubbies. She only uses wash clothes. She wanted something like this. I'm going to make her a set as well as some matching mini face scrubbies!! You're the best Crystal!!
Thanks Crystal, making this tonight. I'm calling it , my washcloth of many colours, I'm using my scrap cotton. I love it. Thanks for all your tutorials. Your amazing.
Great detail, clear explanation, and not too fast, too quick or too chatty. Great for a beginner! This is my first project I've done with any confidence. I especially like that you explained how to clean up the edges with the single crochet. I was really confused about that on other projects. Thanks! I've subscribed and will be trying your other videos.
I used your pattern and made it smaller about 8x8 and have them as "exfoliating wash cloth" in my spa gift sets. They are perfect for some textured washcloth when you want more scrubbing action. 😊
I am a beginer crocheter and I made one of these and I also made a dish drying mat with this pattern and they turned out sooooooo nice and uniform. Thank you sooooo much Crystal, you are a great teacher!!!
So nice for the upcoming holidays as a hostess gift. My sister is moving into a new place and I may do a few of these for her new kitchen or bathrooms. Thanks Crystal. I like these nice simple but beautiful ideas.
Hi Crystal I'm working on a dishcloth. I wanted to share a different way to do the treble crochet. I learned this from another RU-vidr. You don't have to do it this way but I think it's easier. The way I do them now is almost like a double crochet but instead of going through two loops grabbing your yarn, you go through one loop, grab your yarn, go through two loops grab yarn and go through the last two loops.
Thank You! Your instructions are very clear and concise. Absolutely thrilled that you state how may stitches are in the row when you get to the end of the row. Have just started crocheting, except for learning a little from my mom when I was younger, and have been struggling with how many stitches I should have at the end of a row! Have kept second guessing myself on whether or not I skip the first chain on every row of the work or only the 1st row after the foundation chain. Have torn out and given up many a time! You make it very clear. Only skip the 1st chain on row 1 into the foundation chain if not told otherwise in the pattern! Wow such a relief to finally realize that! Thanks Again!!!
OMG, I'm so excited to do this stitch. I've been crocheting for two months now with the single, double and half double crochet. Now I'm ready for the triple crochet. Thank you for this awesome tutorial!! By the way, I'm 49. Never too old to learn this. RU-vid is amazing and so are you - thank you!
These are awesome. Thanks so much for showing the detail of how you do them. I've done a few knitted washcloths, but am going to try to make a few of these too. They seem like something I could do.
Ty Crystal!! i love this pattern...will have to try it!!...was just thinking if you used 1-1/2 skein per washcloth you are left with 3 (1/2) skeins which would make a 4rth washcloth with all 3 colors to match the set!!!...just a thought...if i try it i'll let u know the outcome....lol
Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial Crystal! I stopped crocheting for a few months now because I kinda got bored but I saw this video and it sparked my interest. I LOVE how simple the pattern is and the texture it creates. I was able to finish my project in a day, and I am very happy with the final product, and now, I I can't wait to make another one! Also I need to add you are an amazing instructor and I love following your tutorials!! You have a real knack for teaching! Thank you again:)
Thank you for sharing your patterns. I have been enjoying all your projects. I have gotten more crocheting ideas here than I do on Pinterest. Keep them coming.
Pretty reminds me of the blanket stitch dishcloths that I do it’s a easy one row repeat I like crystals boarder with this it would would work with the blanket stitch to. A nice gift set💕
I am definitely going to make some of these. I'm going to follow one of the suggestions in the comments to make smaller ones, just because I want to try to get one cloth from each skein. I have a lot of cotton in my stash so I just need to figure out who should get which colors. Everyone has to do dishes at some point!
Great tutorial! I've done double and single. Can't wait to see how it turns out with a treble. Planning to pair these up with a nice bottle of body wash. Made dishcloths already and paired them up with a bottle of dish soap. They make great gifts for any occasion! Thank you for making this video!
You are so awesome Crystal... I feel like I know you for ever ... God bless your hands and thank you so much for explaining every step .. you make it very easy to follow... regards from CD. Juarez, Mexico
Thanks Crystal I used this as one of my washcloth patterns in a spa gift set for 2 friends for christmas this year :) quick, easy and a nice scrubby texture
