How do you create a 3x9 box ? I'm on Photoshop CC 2019 and I have absolutely no idea how you do that and I don't even know if it's even possible on my version
This is the best version of this effect I've been able to find because it actually simulates the RGB effect with the pattern. Really smart idea that works incredibly well!
nice tutorial, i added another little extra gaussian blur on the white part, looks fantastic. HOW CAN I CUT AND MOVE A SELECTED AREA FROM A SMART OBJECT T-T
Was able to mimic this in Photpea. The only different step was towards the end when selecting edit to apply the pattern. Instead of selecting edit, I had to select another tab with an option that read "add new fill layer". From there it was the same. There was no brick option, but it auto-mimicked the brick option I guess. I just had to adjust the intensity of it as the effect came out much stronger in Photpea.
Really glad to hear that mate! That's what I'm going for with the tutorials I put out so happy it's landing. I don't want to show purely how a certain effect can be achieved but the process to achieve it, as you will often learn loads of useful tips along the way for other ideas/projects.
I can't get the color to stay inside the rectangle when I feather to 6 in the second half of the video. The blur goes outside of the rectangle every time.
I don't have the appearance tool in my properties panel to be able to round the edges, any idea how to add that appearance panel? I can't find out how to do it for the life of me...
@@LouisMoss appearance panel bro, that part where you rounded the edges I don’t have that lol I looked everywhere online couldn’t find anything idk If an update changed it smh
ahh yes appearance is under the properties panel, so same again Window>properties and it should appear on the right hand panel when you click on your rectangle. When you click on your shape it should have Transform, appearance and pathfinder in the properties panel! (let me know if that helps)
@@Rxstro have you got the shape selected? (also double check its a shape not a smart object just a rectangle or whatever although you have probably already tried that) what version of PS are you on because I can see it on mine?
