I appreciate this tutorial and I'm grateful to get this useful information.... personally as a complete rookie I found the mistake part quite difficult to follow along after that... if I was making the tutorial I would've started over and completely did away with the mistake section as it is immediately hard to follow after that... for me at least... and thats from one creator to another.....besides that it was great!! thank you
I love wrapping rocks and fossils. Your wrap in beautiful. I have a crystal similar to yours in the video. Found it when I visited Gem Mountain about 10 years ago. Thanks for sharing, it turned out very nice :)
So I found this video on my YT feed as I am always looking for different minimalist designs and this is a wonderful idea. Also, super nice to meet a local rockhounder, though you are a bit north of me. Love your vids, keep posting, and keep shining that wonderful light 😎👍
Hey Jesse! For some reason I'm not getting some of my notifications for comments unless I go to the studio so I just saw this bro so sorry! That's so cool Carly's interested in wrapping, it can be so fun. And now you got a bunch of Crystal points for her to work with eh!😄 best wishes to her if she does. And to you m8! And shhhh...just to let you know...both of the pieces in this viddy are sitting in the package I have for you. They are for Carly and Scarlett☺ Really hope all is well as can be right now and thinking of you all often. Have a wonderful weekend J 😎🐾
Hi! beginner here, I was wondering what softness you chose for this wire? Is it Dead Soft or Half Hard & would you recommend half hard for wrapping crystals like this? P.s. thank you for such a helpful video!
Hi Nova! I use dead soft wire. I suppose you could use half hard but it will be a lot harder to work with. I would recommend using the dead soft tho. Hope that helps. Best wishes✨
Very nice I like this. Allot of the wire wrapping has so much wire around the stone you can hardly see the stone. This way you can see all of the stone and it looks really easy.
Thanks NR! I completely agree. I try my hardest to let the stone shine the most✨ And I did get your email response! Sorry I haven't responded. I will wait till the beginning of May to mail your prize and I will give you a heads up before I do. Hope you're doing well!😎🐾
Looks awesome! Do you think this will work with a double pointer opalite? And also, is this wrap strong enough to hold the gem without it slipping out? I have an opalite double pointer that doesn't have a hole on it but I want to make it into a pendant for a necklace :P
Thanks! That sounds super beautiful. I would say you could do this wrap IF one end is slightly bigger than the other. Unfortunately, very straight crystals tend to slip out of this design. BUT... I have another tutorial that will work phenomenally for a straight crystal... Check out my wire wrapping playlist for it😊
I'm not sure if its something on my end, but this video won't load. It gives an almost white noise static screen. I can hear the audio, but the video doesn't come through anymore.
oh no! So sorry it won't play for you. On my end it played fine... not sure what the deal is on your end. Crossing fingers it plays for you if you try again! Best wishes to you✨
I'm so glad you liked it! I was just playing around and it turned out so nice I had to share. And it's pretty simple and elegant. Thanks for watching Gwynn! Happy Wrapping🐾
Thanks G! They all would work nicely. Whatever I have available is what I use. Right now I'm using round leather. I like the look of round leather and fibre with the copper wire. A small chain would look nice if you could match the copper tone tho🐾
@@MarlainaAtkins Nice! I've always thought wire and leather looked better than wire and chain. Most of the time anyway. Man, your channel seems to be a magnet for those bots hey? Both Ximer and Todd that fast....
Maybe it's just that new of some territory that I easily got lost. Mine I wound up just making do and it still kinda came out close but not really at the same time.
I wouldn't doubt it... That's why I stated what kind of crystal would work... Sorry you had so much trouble. A tumbled stone probably wasn't a good idea for this wrap. Best of luck in the future
I'm sorry but the "mistake" confused me. Perhaps you could have started over or done a better job of editing. This is the exact crystal I was wanting to wrap and the finished product was nice but.?. I am very much a beginner......
