Very pretty! Will have to make this too. I don't have much of a selection of 3x4 Rondels but I do in 4x6 Rondels, will have to try that. I love the color combo you used but then I'm always drawn to Turquoise and Teal colors. Looks great with the pink seed beads. Thank you!
@GGCBeginningbeaders
@GGCBeginningbeaders 3 года назад
Thanks, glad you like it. If you use the bigger rondels, use 8/0s between them and 11/0s to put the center bead on, and maybe, use a 6mm round glass pearl for the center bead.
@mandyb1320

@@GGCBeginningbeaders I made the bracelet and it came out beautifully but I did have to tweak it. I used the bigger rondels as I mentioned and tried the larger seed beads and 6 mm pearl as you suggested but the 8/0 seed beads were too big and the pearl was also too big. So I switched to Miyuki because they are smaller and they worked. As for the pearl, I tried a 6mm druk which was a little smaller and it worked nicely. Thought this info might help someone else. Thank you Gina for all your help it's soooo appreciated!

When I close an open jumpring on a bracelet, I often put a dab of clear nail polish at the "seam", hoping that it will block any gaps, however tiny, that the thread might get caught in or cause the clasp to fall off. I don't know if that's what others do, but it works for me.

@@GGCBeginningbeaders I wish we had a Michaels and Hobby Lobby! My nearest bead store is 400kms sway! All we have is a 'Craft Boutique' that has very little in range - mostly for card-making (stamping and embossing) and 1/4 of the tiny space is taken up by the coffee shop! (At least the barista makes great coffee, ham n cheese croissants, and quiche!) You don't know how lucky you are!

Just sew through the next two beads, so go into the next rondelles, seed beads and the next rondelles, then make a loop between the seed bead and rondelles, go through the loop and pull a knot down between the beads.

The only way to know is to try a few units. Because rondels are thin in the middle they allow room for the seed beads to fit well and the middle embellishment to lay nicely. But perhaps it will work with other beads.
