I like both. The Spagnoletta had some interesting syncopation which delighted my ear and created the sense of how th dane might proceed.

You’re right, that the dances would’ve gone on much longer and the music would probably have developed. Printed in these short versions they’re very much like little tasters, but of course, a clever player would be able to improvise many repeats with different features
