I have some buttons that I inherited from my husband's grandmother. I'm going to make some of these little ornaments for his family as a lovely way to remember her each Christmas when they decorate their tree! Plus, I have little stars beads for the top! So excited to get busy making these today!! Thanks again for being our muse!
I have a box of buttons that belonged to my grandmother and now I know what I can do with them to cherish the memory of her. What a wonderful idea! Thanks so much for sharing.
That's exactly why the video caught my attention. I have a little basket of buttons that were my grandmother's and which I remember playing with when I was young. I can't bear to part with them, but they're just sitting unused in a cupboard. This is a brilliant way to reinvent them into keepsakes. I only wish I hadn't recently thrown out all of my broken costume jewellery, lol!
Oh such perfect timing! I just got a bunch of buttons from my mom and I was hoping to find something to do with them. This seems like such a fun and easy project :D Thank you!
Natasha you are born a teacher and so creative. Love the button project and all you have taught us with the making of journals and all of its’ components. Thank you. You have made our world a better place 🥰
Awesome! I have seen these on pinterest. But your assembly is definitely a huge step up! And I never knew how to make them. But now...I've just added them to my Christmas project list! Thanks for the fun tutorial! ❤️ ~Suzy
Just lovely! My mom passed this year and I was trying to think of a craft to make to share with my siblings. This will make a great ornament for their trees!
Another great use for all the buttons I have horded away. I have to make some for my tree today and more for my journals that are in the making. Thank you. You are so creative.
I had two tubs of organized buttons sitting on a box, which of course, I knocked over, so now two tubs of unorganized buttons. Tonight's TV project, separating buttons and making tree dangles, great idea, love them, thanks!!
so cute not the spilling of the buttons, but the patient way you said that, because thats the way it goes for me also, it seems i am my own worst enemy at times. Carla from Arizona
Natasha What a wonderful idea! Kaicismom had the same idea I had, I have buttons I inherited from my mother. I’m going to make these button trees for my sisters. A perfect keepsake to be passed down to the next generation! I’ve been waiting for the perfect use for those buttons!
I have tons of buttons from my mom that I have just gotten 😊 this is such a great idea, can’t wait to make some 😊😊😊 you come up with the coolest things, going to make some for all her grandkids 🤗🤗 TFS 😘😘😘😘😘😘
Another great project! Thank you, Natasha! You're so delightful and inspiring! I love making handmade things to give a gifts. They have an extra special touch and they're more than gifts, they're keepsakes!
Such a great idea for using those buttons that we've accumulated and didn't know quite what to do with them. Thank you for the inspiration and your talent!
I was given a huge box of old buttons and just didn’t know what to do with them all. Now I know. Definitely going to try making some of these, I just love them. And perhaps some of the little ones for my journal lovers! Tfs. ❤️🦋❤️🦋
Hi Natasha👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 I think these are cute. And yes great for little add in for Christmas or through the year depending how you make them. Would make a cute mini Christmas tree ornament. Thank you. Have a wonderful evening.
Qué hermoso trabajo!! Me encantan esos mini árboles de Navidad. Adoro tus ideas y tus explicaciones súper claras. Gracias!!! I really love them! Saludos 🇦🇷
These buttons don't match when they are side by side on the table ( I mean their colors), but once they are stacked on each other, the color combination is so beautiful. Great idea !
I have my original button tin I started when I was about 9-10 years old and I'm 77 now so I have quite a collection also some antique mother of pearl etc.buttons from my grandmother's box. She was born in 1905. I'm so happy to have found your RU-vid channel.Thank You for sharing such a unique way of using and preserving old buttons. My girls I don't think would use my button box so Thanks again 💞
Another wonderful idea!!! Specially if we have lots of buttons that we don't know what to do with them. And actually I don't have too many, but one of my sisters has, so I'm sharing the video with her so she can make them with her grandchild. They are beautiful and I hope I can borrow some buttons from her so I can make some for journals. Thank you very much for sharing that beautiful and simply idea.❣ And please don't eat them, at least not without any dipping in some creamy delicious dip 😁so they can't get stuck 😃!!!
Since Christmas was past when I saw this video, I think I will experiment with egg shapes for Easter. I have 92 jelly jars of buttons left by my sewing aunts - need a few button projects. 😊
Cool. I have a bag of buttons and a boatload of old jewelry. I know some of my next projects. Probably for Junk Journal dangles since Christmas is upon us! If I did those now, I'd lose them before next year! Merry Christmas and thanks for sharing.
I sat in bed having my 1st morning coffee..I'm soo glad this popped up. I was riveted to your video. Loved your instructions..the ornaments are gorgeous.
I love this idea. What a cleaver way to use buttons. The little one would look cute clipped to a purse. Can't wait to make these. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
You are truly so impressive! I learn something so incredible every time I watch one of your videos. Today it was to remove the wires from my ribbons to reuse. I never thought of that! How clever. Thank you for being so very creative and your ability to think "out of the box".
Just so darn cute. I love it. Thank you for sharing and God Bless. Will you be doing a tutorial on the handmade wrap around junk journal with little treasures inside that you did about 4 years ago? If not, can you please give me the measurements so that I can try and make one. Thank you and God Bless.
Thank you so much for sharing. Thank you for teaching also what a great idea to get used all the extra buttons God bless and please have a amazing day and merry Christmas and a happy new year
Just found this video. I too have inherited a lot of beauty buttons. Wasn't sure what should be done with them. Great idea. Great little gifts to fellow quilter. Thank you
When my nan passed and we had to clear the house I was given a large jar of buttons nan had and I mean huge jar (old sweet shop jar). So I have followed your video and made a few of the christmas tree ornaments which all have loved, thank you for the great video x
