Easy DIY Crochet Teardrop Hanging Basket Rounds 1 & 2

You will need:
Super Bulky Size 6 yarn (approximately 120 yds)
Size K Crochet Hook
Scissors
Yarn Needle
Finished projects measures approximately 12"tall by 8" wide
Crochet Chain Tutorial:
• Crochet Chain #shorts
Single Crochet Tutorial:
• SC Single Crochet #shorts
Round 1:
ch4, sl st into 1st ch created to form a ring
ch1, 8sc into ch ring (8 sts)
(do not sl st or turn your work)
Round 2:
sc in next st, place marker, sc in same st
2sc in each st until st before marker (do not crochet in this st) (16 sts)

I tried these instructions but found that my basket doesn't measure 10 1/2" as the instructions say. Did I do something wrong? I used Lion Brand Hometown yarn #6 and the K hook. Please advise me.

Hi! I’m sure you didn’t do anything wrong. All projects are approximate in size. Each person has different tension with their stitches. And different brand yarns can make a difference. May I ask what your measurements where? Thanks.😊

Hi! Of course you may change up the yarn. Please remember changing the yarn size will change the size of your project. Also, you will need to choose the correct hook size for your yarn. Check your yarn sleeve for coordinating hook to yarn size. Hope that helps! 😊
