Hi from Japan. Great ideas, and good for you for sharing them with us. One tweak you might consider: put a small-mesh screen in the lower part of a stove, but just off the ground, which will let the ashes fall away and encourage more airflow through the bottom. Cheers!

Foil is very useful for all kinds of things, but I'm always wary of promoting its use as a lot of people just leave it lying around after use, it's up to us responsible bushcrafters to lead by example and make sure we take all our rubbish home with us. Mad Dog Survival Hi, I like the principal of the hobo stove and was looking to do almost the same-thing but with the last stove made by another YTuber Simon4043. It may be possible to use one of your fire proof rope circular tins to contain the fuel. Just not sure how to make the solid fuel opening work without some sort of cover/door.
Maybe a tin within a tin ? The outermost tin with fuel hole, and the innermost tin could then be rotated around inside to create a door? Just a thought 👍🏽👍🏽😎
