Actually like this table better than the high end, metal expensive ones. Definitely going to make one myself. Thanks! Update: already started the project. Wood is cut and sanded, heading to Home Depot for stain, hinge magnet and hardware!
Hi from Toronto Ontario Canada. I made my tail gate table with zipties holding the piano hinge and tied up the table support to the tailgate hinge on the left hand side. No screw holes in the metal to rust .
Cool channel Kaleb .. I recently bought a tiny little camper trailer (bed in a box) and getting into boon-docking/dry camping etc. no off-road yet, but I tend get the outback muddy enough from time to time. Good luck w the channel, looking forward to new cool content!
Mine did that when I closed the gate too hard. A slightly larger magnet would probably hold it in place for you but I’ve just learned to close the rear gate a little lighter and it hasn’t been an issue. Hope that helps!
Just 1/2” plywood and it’s holding up great! Original piece of paracord still holding up fine too. Has a little flex with weight on the table - wire cable might be better if you can find a way to keep it from rattling when off-road!
I got mine from Home Depot but here’s my Amazon Associates link to a similar product: amzn.to/3gALtrQ I’m supposed to say that buying through this link is the same price for you but does help out the channel! Thanks
Yep, still going strong! A couple of the screws holding the hinge on have worked their way lose but it’s still stable for food prep and other light use so I haven’t bothered to put new ones in. Using small cable vs the para cord would give the table less flex under weight and also adding a second line to the other side if you want to use it for heavier work.
@@4XTRAIL Thanks for the reply. I will begin working on this project in a couple days. Thanks for the tutorial and the advice. It is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the comment! Just added a link to the Milestar Patagonia tires in the video description. I also did a review of them here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yI2sLlxvdw8.html
