I absolutely loved the gold frame and was so sad when you painted over it. But you really did a fantastic job! The depth and dimension you created is incredible. As not everyone loves gold like I do, this shows that these very ornate pieces that are usually gold really can be adapted to fit any taste. Can’t wait to watch more of your videos 😁
Bright Gold mirrors aren’t as popular these days like they were a few years back.I paint my gold mirrors White to brighten up a room.I love gold frames,I just like to add another color just to be a bit different.I love to Gold Leaf items.Things you find in thrift shops with not so nice colors.

Gorgeous mirror. I'm not sure why you would want a black/grey frame for that stunning mirror.. Other than it matching the other mirror that was beside it. The gold is my style. Nice to learn dry brushing technique. Thanks

Just bought a house with a gold mirror frame that had the chalk paint dry brushing done to the inner detail and I absolutely hate it. So glad to see how I can fix it by painting it black and dry brushing the chalk paint to the top parts instead of the bottom areas (which makes it look dusty and dirty)
TBH, the gold was perfect. The carved designs really pop with your paint technique. Recently I picked up two French chandelier wall sconces that had been painted similarly. I'm keeping the black/grey color as it is unique and stunning with crystal embellishments hanging from the arms.
