I love the simple design. You could modify it for storage on a tool wall etc. Thanks for all the lessons.

Inspired me to think about key-hole fasteners for a project or two. Agree about staining maple. It’s frustrating as heck. Hard maple grain structure seems to vary quite a bit even across a face cut.

I know just in this project alone the stain varies and it’s only small pieces of wood.

A towel rack seems like a pretty easy project but when the client is picky attention to detail is absolutely required and you nailed it. Thanks for posting and I would like to wish you a Happy New Year and a great and healthy 2024.

Yeah, I have a feeling the stain matching is going to be an issue on this one.

I went with a T-slot bit on my router to make hanging frames and coat rack. However, your project is much more solid for handling stress of a towel rack in use. (I have that rockler bushing set for the router, a special bushing for their T slot template so...I lack a drill press along with a tablesaw...someday though...someday!).

Hi 👋, Honey 🍯 Badger 🦡, I hope you and your family and friends all had a great Christmas 🎄, great little project, well done, 👍, I have made over a hundred of these, but with a back plate, shaped, Victorian, Edwardian style, Many years ago I used to do craft fairs, and they used to sell like hotcakes, 😂 . You are always thinking about food ha ha😂, Something else you might be interested in Victorian and Edwardian, maid hanging rail, these are quite ornate, set on some pulleys , Mighty located near the fire to dry your clothes, Look forward to seeing your next project , I hope you and your family all have a happy New Year, 🥳, Phil from the moulin France .

Hi, 👋, it is possible to just to buy a kit of metal parts and pulleys and rope, so all you need to make is the wooden parts, but I am thinking of making the metal parts out of plywood , and painting them black, it should be possible to scan an image to make a template, then you can cut it out either on a fretsaw or with a router, Good luck, I hope this can help, Phil, from the moulin,

Ps, I forgot to mention, that it has to be made out of plywood, as if it was made out of solid, I would presume the grain would split under the weight, But you still could polish plywood to a colour if needed, ❤Phil

Nice little job but I think I'll try the forstner bits when I make them. I've kind of fallen out with spade bits lately. Have a great New Year HB.

I learned several things from this video -- thanks for posting it. As always, love your craftwomanship, but the stained maple is ugly.

Simple is good and so is no hardware showing but the typical commercial "no hardware showing" is awful. Would the rack be to heavy to just use a router for the keyhole? Since you mentioned tools...I was watching random shorts earlier and one came up about liquid storage and almost immediately I knew it was yours because of the most identifiable radial arm saw on RU-vid (just a little tool envy...).
