Hey Arties! Thanks for watching our video! For those who wanna know what exactly is the material that's been used for the first skirt well, it's called "raffia". Here's what it looks like: ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1ryGeKVXXXXb9XpXXq6xXFXXXD/10m-Natural-colored-raffia-grass-Material-raffia-ribbon-cord-Raffia-Packing-rope-for-Floral-Gift-Wrap.jpg_Q90.jpg_.webp Also, a big THANK YOU for all your amazing comments to this video! We're really glad you like it and we hope we helped you a little with your own Moana Cosplay!
Awww!!! Thank you very very much! Really glad you like it and we can't wait to see your work as well! Always feel free to ask us whatever you want about the process! Good luck!
May I know exactly what supplies you used so I can make a list and buy the supplies to make the costume? Also the stores where I could get the supplies?
Sure thing! They are also mentioned analytically in the video. So, for the skirt you're gonna need an elastic band and 3 or 4 bunches of raffia (depending of how full you want the skirt to be) . Also, a big piece of canvas and some snap buttons. To color the skirt, use fabric paint and markers (or permanent markers) for the details. And finally you're gonna need some fringes (or you can make them by yourself, like I did in the video). For the top: use a crop top in color coral, a brown fabric marker, a brown lace ribbon and two seashell necklaces. For the waist band: you can use any fabric as long as it is the same color as the crop top and a little stretchy, so you can wrap it easily around your waist. (If you can't find the crop top and the fabric in the desired color you can always dye them with fabric dye. Make sure their material is able to be colored before, or else the dye won't stay on the fabric.) Last but not least, for the pendant, you can use any seashell you can find, or you can make it using polymer clay. Use a small LED light in color green to glue it on the back and some twine to make the rest of the necklace. Don't forget to add the pearls on it. There are a lot of pictures on Google you can use for reference. So that's it. I really hope this was helpful enough! Good luck and have a nice day!
It's called "raffia" (as far as I know 😅) Maybe I didn't pronounce it correctly 😂. You can see what it looks like by clicking on the link to our comment below our video.
You mean ..none of these? Well, I guess you can use any fabric that has the same color as the skirt and combine it with any hula skirt for halloween costumes. It would be much better if the fabric is hard enough to stand (an airy cloth is not the best choice). Then you can paint it with some markers, Sharpies for example. For the waist band, any fabric will do, as long as it is red and long enough to be tied around your waist. You can cut a red (or coral) elastic T-shirt to make the crop top, paint it with sharpies and glue some seashells on top. And for the necklace, there are plenty of options. You can paint a big shell or you can sculpt the Heart with polymer clay and attach it to a necklace made of twine for example. I hope it helped somehow :)
Se llama "rafia". Así es como se ve (It's called "raffia". Here's what it looks like: ) : ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1ryGeKVXXXXb9XpXXq6xXFXXXD/10m-Natural-colored-raffia-grass-Material-raffia-ribbon-cord-Raffia-Packing-rope-for-Floral-Gift-Wrap.jpg_Q90.jpg_.webp
