Love that you shared with us a beautiful card that is easy and uses minimal affordable supplies so everyone can make a great card for a loved one. This is so thoughtful of you to offer this video so we all enjoy enjoy creative moments. I am going to do this card with my nephews for a surprise for their mom. Thank you!
@@Amywazwaz06 Initially I thought it would be great for them to have over winter break but with this idea, we can now make valentines, mother's day, and father's day cards as a group. So excited
Simply, yet very pretty. Though most of us want the larest gadget, ink abpnd stamp (I know I do) thank you for reminding us that the simple things in lufe often are the best.
Kristina, first of all I would like to say that you make water coloring look soooooooo easy. I'm struggling but determined to learn. Instead of coloring directly on my card, I decided to do my heart on a separate piece then cut it out and mount it with the thin foam squares. I wasn't really crazy about it until I added the border outline . Wow. That made a huge difference. Thank you for sharing your work through your tutorials.
Everything you touch becomes magical. I absolutely love how you use the least expensive watercolour set. Gives me hope I can make somethin' nice with my 250 worth of Daniel Smith. ;)
@@sensitiveone8305 They are lovely. I need to practice colour mixing more though. I think I picked the wrong primaries, 'cause I make muddy tones of a lot of colours. Gonna try the more modern primaries with magenta etc. :D
Kristina, everything you touch becomes so beautiful, your hand writing,...all your cards are just so perfect, thanks for sharing your videos with us, love you, hags
Very pretty. I think I’d paint a rectangular piece then cut the heart. Much easier. Then I’d glue the heart on the card. Although the painted heart is a lovely look it is trickier.
Thank you for demonstrating how you created this card. I look forward to making a cards similar to this, but also think this is a great card for my granddaughter who is in 4th grade. I think she will enjoy watching the video AND then creating a card.
I have five to do for my son and his family and a new set of watercolors to play with! What a great way to say “thank you “ for my Christmas gift as well as “I love you “! I am already thinking of the ways to do variations on the theme. Thank you SO much!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the washi tape, it's rainbowliciousness!!! This card is precious, simple and colorful, what more can you ask for?!!! Fabulous, as usual, Krisrtina! Thanks for sharing, blessings & hugs lovely lady!!!
Thank you for showing that we don’t need to spend 15-20 dollars in supplies to make a card. I am going to buy a inexpensive water color set. You have inspired me to paint. ❤️
I saw your video, I saw you - and I liked. You are a lovely person and the way you do everything in your videos is lovely too! It's a pleasure to watch your videos. Thanks 💖 P.S: I will also use your card as inspiration for my parents wedding anniversary today 😍
Wow, you really make that look easy. I probably would have used that cut out paper as a mask or stencil so I wouldn't paint out of the line. Or paint stripes then cut the heart out and mount it on the card. I am soooo bad at watercolor. I have to watch more of your videos. thanks
Beautiful (and fun) card. This design would look terrific framed as a home decor piece, or even as a front door sign. Can you watercolor on a stretcher canvas? Can't wait to try it! TFS!
I know they used to make stretched canvases for watercolor, but I'm not sure if they still do. Someplace like Dick Blick or Cheap Joe's would carry them if they exist. Another option would be to use a regular canvas & coat it with Daniel Smith watercolor ground. You could use either the white or clear ground for that. That will allow the watercolor to "grip" to the canvas. I think, though, if you want to hang it outdoors, you should use a spray varnish after everything has dried--maybe 2-3 coats--just to protect the watercolor. Hope this helps! :)
Great idea with minimal supplies. Could you give some details about the lined board upon which you are working? If you purchased it someplace that is available to others or the material it's made of, dimensions, etc? TIA.
Love this...you mentioned you would link another minimal birthday card...one of your very popular card videos....I can not find that link...help, please and thank you....
Love the simplicity and color, but please, Kristina - use an art gum eraser, not those awful things on our pencils. Just a thought from another artist...
I made this card, and wanted to show you. I emailed you the email address on your website. I received an email in return stating the email address I used for you was undeiverable..
