I've been cultivating this method for a while, but 150m a day is just not possible. every 3 hours you could harvest 8 times a day if you forgot how to sleep. Each harvest brings about 8 million + - 3 million the whole time 8 provided you don't sleep and harvest on time! you get about 80 million a day
5-6 times a day with a grow time of 3h 28min. Ah yes, lets say 3h 30min +5minutes to breed and put everything down again. So technically 3h 35min (215min) multiplied by 5 is 1075min which equals about ~18h. That leaves 6h for sleep in a full day. Ofc you can sleep inbetween the growth time and wake up to an alarm just to set up your farms again, but cmon: 150-180mil DAILY is just not the amount of silver you get out of it.
@@trinki8345 you dont get the idea do you? its a life skill you dont have to do it if you dont want to. not everyone has the time to grind 5 - 10hrs a day some people just want some casual money flows in everyday i know its not much but believe me it works. 100m/D with farming helps. and if you looking for that t9 horse you cant even buy that stonetail fodder bc too many wants that shit
Hey man. It's great to see more beginner-friendly farming videos. A bit problematic to me is that your profit numbers seem very high and you don't show any of the math involved in calculating them. Also, your reaction to someone in the comments questioning the math is this (instead of showing them the math): "sure, keep blaming others for your failure instead of accepting you are doing something wrong and changing it" Cmon man. Really? Below I calculated the average profit for breeding 20 magical purple mushrooms seeds. 20 magical seed breeds produce (yields taken from the lifeskill Discord): - 31 magical seeds, 11 of them will be vendored @247,470 silver -> 11 * 247,470 = 2,722,170 - 15 fruits of nature: They're valuable and I'll assume a value of double the market price (120k * 2) -> 240,000 * 15 = 3,600,000 - 5 stonetail fodder sold to the market @2,500,000*0.845 -> 5 * 2,112,500 = 10,562,500 Total: 16,884,670 Including moles at 5 mil per 20 slots (I'm admittedly not sure how to value them since there is very little data on those): Final value: *21,884,670* That is an *average* of ~22 mil per 20 seeds. I'd be interested to see how you arrive at 25-35 mil per cycle and if there's anything you did differently in your calculation.
Most youtubers that do a farming life skill guide are click baiting and they usaally lieing so you watch there videos i alwaya dislike and report for miss information becuase he clearly lieing about the payout i m farming for over half a year now a diffrent method better one and i get less then 60mill a day he just want to bait peoples to like the video i recomnedd to report those videos so he wont be able to post them ...
You should note that is worth leveling until Master 1 for the Old Moon Fences, which are also 10 slots as the strong ones, but these are smaller, so it's easier to install them and also will save you time and money when you want to put fertilizer.
This video is understandable. Others I watched were more obscure with how to do things. I've only been in the game about 2 weeks and was struggling to figure out how to level my farming to be productive. Only have 4 plots for now, but taking care of them really does help instead of having workers do it for me and I go out questing. Thanks greatly for this video.
As someone who farms only 2x a day I can tell you making 100mil a day is not even possible. These guides are false even if you are able to farm 5-6 x a day hitting 100mil daily is so farfetched let alone 150+. Realistic expectations would be 25-50mil a day at artisan. Farming is a good life skill to help boost your monthly income but if you think your going to make 700+ mil a week from farming sorry but just don't do it.
It's not impossible. Perhaps you're missing parts about farming, like the fact that you can combine the byproducts into the Stonetail Fodder which sells for 2.5m per. Artisan or master doesn't even matter on this, as your yield does not change whatsoever with higher farming level. I suggest you join the lifeskill discord, it has a lot of resources on how to do things and also extensive spreadsheets on everything, including farming and the different money yields from it.
@@Fred1989 I farmed as indicated in the video. One 2hr 45 min cycle (use fertilizer) gave me 98 stonetail items (12.5M pretax), 15 FoN at 400k each (6M), 2 Mystical seeds (~.25M), I sold 13 extra Hypha (3.25M), I got a Mole, which netted 5 Black stones and a Spirit Pouch (3.125M) for a total of just over 25M. I can do this when I wake (7am), midmorning (10am), lunch (1pm), Mid-afternoon (4pm), after work (7pm), before bed (10pm) for a total of 6 times per day. Roughly 150M. I could push it to get a 7th around 1 am, but I prefer to sleep. I also have my estimate a bit high since I probably only get the mole about once per 2 cycles. However, all this takes to do is a few minutes to harvest and replant each cycle. It is possible. I have not tested the validity of the 400k for the FoN - but even at the MP price of 138k I'm comfortably over 20M per cycle / 120M per day. If you do this 6-7 times per day as Salt indicates, 150M-180M pretax is not outside the realm of possible with a little effort. Yeah, I might only get 3-5 crops some days. That's on me. I don't get paid if I don't play. That does not invalidate the method. I could instead grow pepper and get 25M every 5-6 hours. Overall, this pushes my farm income up a bit imo - and I only have to harvest and plant 1/5 the crops.
Yo just came back to this video to say thanks a lot for this lol. It took me quite a while to reach artisan 1 but it's worth it. Got my first 2 magical seeds from the breeding process. Thanks a lot!!
And average byproduct per crop seems to be 5, so 10 per farm x 10 = 100. Each harvest so has 5 stonetail fodder, 12,5m + some fruits + some seeds. How does that equal 30m per harvest? Im netting a lot less than that (max 18-20m per harvest with extra seeds and fruits to oils)
Without oil because you need other ingredients as well, I have a medium of 18m per harvest, but as I use Dalvenia Alrea, it's 18m every 2h 46m hours as long as I'm online and on a EU server
Unfortunately there's no way this method does 25-30M per harvest in the EU servers, not even close. I have tested this method for a few days and profiting from Spirit Elixirs is extremely unreliable if not impossible at all so I can't count with those numbers, Oils are unreliable too. Full onion crop mode will net way more than this at the cost of actually having to harvest and plant 100 damn seeds every rotation. It's a shame this isn't as "viable" in EU servers because now I have stuck with this method, I can't go back to harvest and plant 100 seeds every rotation as I'm too lazy for that so I rather just do 10 seeds but any potential profit this method could yield from the fruits of nature will be nil in the EU.
You can combine mysterious seeds with another seed (any other crop seed) via shaking you get 5 times the amount of 1 plant. Also, the combined seed takes up 5 grid spots so you don't have to plant 100 seeds for every rotation if you get enough mysterious seeds.
3 times a day cool start work at 07:00 back home 18:00 i think most ppl are in same situation or something like this how would u be there 3 or 4 times a day
It does, but very little. Once you get magical seeds, its a max of 20 energy every 3 hours and usually you don't use energy every breed/harvest so more like 10-15. Some energy, but very very little.
@@GoodIdeaGaming Ok great, so do it on an alt or main? My alt would only gain 1 energy per hour and not enough to harverst every 3 hrs but not sure if I want to be running back to Velia every 3hrs on my main. Which do u reccomend?
@@soupandspoon2612 you can very easily use an alt for farming, its 1000x more convenient. My alt is like artisan 8 farming, and they do slowly run out of energy, but you can leave them logged in overnight or whenever you have to afk for a long period to combat that like once every few weeks or so, depending on the size of your energy pool
Hello - nobody mentioned this but if the character has high gathering (capped at Master 1), they have an increased chance of not consuming energy on "gathering" which, fun fact, works for farming as well! But yes - with magical seeds it uses very little energy.
wanted to ask the same question :) + they're better for selling to NPCs (275k instead of just 247k) and you can make the same amount of stonetail fodder
@@GoodIdeaGaming No, it's literally the same. Buy blue dalvenia alrea seeds and then breed them till you get yellow ones and then improve breed, sell the excessive ones and simple-cook fodder with the byproducts, just as you explained it.
For lvling get white onions since 100 white onion plant will give you 28 to 29 mil when you harvest them when at artisan 1 get blue(special) mushroom seeds the breed them for the seeds
the whole point in magics is that you get more than 1 seed back most of the time averaging 2 a time (chance of 1-3 seeds) whereas all other tier seeds, you only get 1 but it is guaranteed so dunno what's going on with yours... you sure you're deffo choosing the breed option and not just harvesting?
do the blue grade purple hyphas vendor back to the npc for less? as i wish to do less active alchemy making oils from the fruits and rather have more seeds to sell, blue grade makes sense as i could stock more. also you would get more fodder procs which is much quicker and simpler then "oilling"
I’m not getting many seeds from the mysterious purple hypha’s. I’m artisan 3 and I’ve been getting just fruits of nature from breeding. I think only one or two gave me back seeds. I have to keep depending on mysterious seeds to make the yellow grade purple mushrooms. Was this nerfed or something in an update?
sure, keep blaming others for your failure instead of accepting you are doing something wrong and changing it. struggling to make 20-30m a day from your farm? you can literally plant any crop and make more then that each day.
i dont get the fruit of nature part, what excactly do you use them for if you dont sell them? can u tell me the name of each item that you craft them into? thanks in advance
Hey I watched this video on friday and just got my farm up and running minutes before posting this comment. I plan on logging in, getting my farm started for the day, then going grinding while the mushrooms grow. I will only need to return to my farm every couple hours to harvest and re-plant correct? I’m quite new to BDO so im not exactly sure what responsibilities having workers comes with or what their capabilities are, I just know I need to feed them which im going to be cooking beer for.
You should honestly have an alt dedicated to your farm so you don't have to come back to it on your main later on that might get annoying as you move further into Kama or into the desert or just grinding in general...having to come back every 3 hours could slowly get old. Most have a life skiller alt, can do farming on them while your main is out and about.
@@Cazenzaku Yea after a week im starting to run into this. Starting to feel too lazy to run back and forth between my farm and Polly's/Manshaums and it gets to a point where I want to one or the other but not both. If I use a separate character for lifeskilling could I plant the seeds with my main and then harvest/breed with a different character?
@@Pulse. as far as I know the only thing that matters is breeding them on the same character so you level up your farming. So you could plant on you main and then breed on the farming alt or you could just plant and breed on the farming alt
Nope, it doesnt matter at all cause it is Simple Cooking and "Simple" Professions dont level up your actual Professions, so dont corellate to each other.
Processing level does matter, more likely to get more of it with better processing, so maybe farm processing level with heating flax and then grinding that byproduct until like artisan
Thanks for the video. I followed this guide and found that I hardly make any loot at all maybe 30 mill a day. the fodders are difficult to sell and are about 1.6 mil average sometimes 1.9, Also no idea what to do with the fruit it, can not figure out how to use it to make other stuff it. looks like you need a bunch of other things to mix it with. Maybe a follow up video on how to capitalize on the fruits of nature. right now they sell for about 130k. I am assuming these differences could be the console (xbox NA servers) vs pc. I subbed in case you do a follow up on the fruits
ya he mentioned very briefly to use them for elixirs, which is kind of a big point lol. you have to do alchemy to get the full value of them which requires its own setup and other ingredients
dude what kind of lie is this video, your max profit per day whit this is around 70mil you kidding me 1. You make around 10mil per session lets say you are lucky and make 15m(sell everything, no process of the nature) 2. lets say you use fertilizer all the time and have 3h 28min to grow, for 24h that will make 6 to 7 time 3. Lets say you are always lucky so is 15mil per session and you do it 7 times per day, your profit is 105mil not even close to 150 So people expect around 40-60 mil per day and cuz of the video nature is half price so even less
How about instead of blaming someone for putting out info helping people out that I could just keep to myself, why you are not getting the results I mentioned. Stop blaming others and step back and see maybe if you are doing something wrong before instantly blaming others for what could be something you are doing wrong. If you are only making 10 mil per harvest you are doing something very very wrong.
For anyone that is also curious, as I gather the OP has learnt by now. You can quickly select the seeds in the right top panel by using Num keys when you're in grid mode. Saves you needing to move the mouse around. I also wasn't aware of this until I was already Master 1. Not much of a time saver, but it all adds up and is less hassle.
All of this shit died when Elvia came out. 0 point to do any of this. I'll go make 350m+ easily at Orcs. Not only that but, no, it does not take only 15-20 minutes, lol. You doing 6 times a day, swapping over chars, breeding, planting, selling, vendoring, making oils, etc, all of that is part of the effort, hahaha. I used to do farming and even imperial cooking etc. All useless now with Elvia, especially if you dont have 1500 mastery for gathering for imperial cookink. Life skill is dead. I'll go make 350m+ consistently and I'll be enjoying myself too because I'll be doing exactly what I love about BDO and why I play it, which is using my classes abilities, combat, fighting, getting better at my class, etc.
If you haven’t worked out yet for EU dry mane grass is great, 3.5 hours to grow I think with extra seeds selling for 350k and the fruit is hugely preordered as it’s needed for the horse flute upgrade.
Feel free to tune into the stream, I actually just went over them today/yesterday in detail and have done so many times before. If you are not making anywhere close to this, you are doing something wrong. Try to find out what it is.
Only issue with the spirit perfumes is that the saps required and the dead tree essences are entirely sold out which means you gotta go out and meticulously gather them unless you want to wait on your PO which is among 50k other POs. Still a good guide, just not an ideal cash out as well as it taking much more time than 20ish minutes of work to go gather the remaining alchemy materials.
I usually just fill inventory with seeds then vendor the seeds. Probably not the highest profits but nice little silver bump for pretty much no effort.
@@mykellharris1 there are videos on nodes most are not rly up to date but well. you should get fig farms, dates, nutmeg and the most expensive traces in the game the 70k silver ones. there are couple of nodes that have these expensive traces. nodes with expensive wood and sap are great too. some decent ones are the egg and chicken ones. cooking honey is nice to get aswell.
Only you can see your farm. To everyone else it just looks like your moving around and stopping (and vice versa). In a popular area it's polite to stand out of the way or switch alts if you're not doing anything and also so you don't wonder what's up with someone else is digging around next to you.
As long as it is in the threshold for what you are growing it makes no diff, and I have never had a problem with mushrooms, always meets the criteria for fastest growth :)
@@GoodIdeaGaming awesome thanks, btw, i started literally max 3 hours ago and im almost artisan hahah its super fast, im in the olvia channel because i came back to bdo after a break xD ps: oh and i got like 3 magical seeds before artisan, at pro 9 and 10. Also i got a problem with placing the fences. Idk why but there was no way i could place them all together. I could put some in a row like that but not all of them, i even moved all the fences and still wasn't able to place just one or two fences that created a whole in the line of fences.
not worth it, the time investment for the setup is a nightmare, since you have to be ingame for the time count towards the crops. basically, you must stay ingame prettty much the whole day... hard pass, I do work and have family
Got all the beginning people the main thing could be helpful step by step on how to plant because this game does not say much you got to RU-vid everything
grinding gets old af. doing a roto repeating the same attacks for an hour to make maybe 100m per hour. having to worry about grind spots and scroll timers. it gets old fast
Nice guide! The only problem is the alchemy to make the fruit of nature more valuable actually needs a separate guide. An initial search into that process turns up needing other difficult to obtain materials (e.g. gathering loopy tree sap & violet flower not available on market), which certainly bumps up the "15-20 minutes of effort". Without a time consuming alternative I just have to sell the FoN directly. At least there's a strong seller's market for it. Is there a comparison as to which yields more by-product - breeding 10 special or 2 magical?
Holy shit so much misinformation in this farm video. oh my lord, where to begin?! The infestation / birds is depending on what you grow and humidity and water levels in the area. This is why you wanna level up with mushrooms outside heidel riverbank, since you can get xp from prooning and before you are done with 10 farms, you have to start prooning over again. He dosent even know why hes growing mushrooms outside Velia (witch is btw a terrible spot for mushrooms) you allso want to use the Old moon fences, the reason for this is to save water and fertilizer. Allso you will spend less time running between the fences, you can use 3x3 shape and get water+ fertilizer 1 use on all the areas if u do it perfect. if you water mushroom you get it down to 2hours and 43 min. Best place to grow mushroom is to the right of Altinova Gateway node ( on the ledge north of the city) The conditions here is perfect for mushrooms, gives you allmost no proons and they grow fast without interuption. you can vendor at Rockpost. Allso houseing for 10 giants to proon the mushroom when it happens is very cheap in Altinova. you dont move your farms to this location unless you are happy with the farm xp level. this guy just dont know wtf hes talking about.
