So this last month i have been using an app for my phone i recently discovered. Its an app called Gia gps. This app has over 300 map layers to choose from. You can use them for hiking, hunting and my favorite, metal detecting! It has 2 older maps that date to 1900 and 1930. There are so many aspects of this I just love. The best part is you can set the map to 1900 and drive through just like a modern gps and it will show you with great accuracy where old home sites were located! These maps also are layovers to make it easy to go from the old map to a satellite image for easy location. you can sign in to a desk top computer and plot locations and then go drive to them. This is a plug and play system, just choose the map and go! There are other apps that do this but most of them require you to upload your own map and pin it before you can use this which is what sets this apart. This is one app you will be so happy to have and allow you to find more coins and relics with ease. This will be my go to app for sure!
