Simple and easy step by step tutorial to help you master the beautiful French braid. This braid can be used in so many different ways to create so many different and beautiful looks drakesnest88@gmail.com music by epidemic sound
This video was very helpful! I was getting ready to give up but I found some hope with this. I'm finally starting to get a little better. One thing I want to suggest to beginners (like me): start messy! I tried being a little more sloppier and it let me focus more on the technique itself and not how neat and pretty it looked. Now, once I get used to how to hold my hair and grab sections, I can start focusing on being neat and precise. Just a thought.
I am a 13 year old boy who has been growing hair since last 4 years. My mom is a trained hair stylist and makes me these hairstyles. I absolutely love feminine hairstyles being a boy and I sometimes wear them to school. I am trying many new hairstyles and taking more care of my hair in quarantine.
who’s here in 2021 trying to learn how to french braid for camp because you wanna look cute and there is only 47 days left but you just can’t even though it says for beginners? ✋🏻
You have the best instruction video on French branding on youtube. You are not a show off, drawing attention to yourself in s silly way( nauseating) You get to the point and it is not rushed,or some awful loud music playing in background. Thank you.
after years of trying to figure out how to do this, this is the first helpful video where i didn’t find myself crying in the mirror but rather instantly knew how within minutes!! My hair looks like shit but i finally learned and now can practice!❤️❤️
*guys seriously dont look the the mirror that the only way i learned this* the mirror will distort your perspective and you'll just keep getting frustrated and give up.
OMG! I'm 24 and I NEVER could French braid my hair no matter how many tutorials and videos I watched, it would come out terrible and I would just give up... but your advice on not looking and just feeling and staying close to your head... I DID IT! Granted it was my first time and was not the best but I did it! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thank you for this tutorial. I really appreciate the angle you're filming in and how you are explaining while doing it. It became clearer now, not like the other tutorials I watched.
Thank you!!!! I have watched so many unhelpful videos! It's a normal braid but you just grab some sides as you go along, how simple. And yes, don't look in the mirror, you got this! Very well explained!
This helped SOOOO much! I made the mistake of always looking in the mirror and watching myself, but doing this without looking and feeling my way through was way better! I still suck, but I'm a beginner and now I can actually do it! It's a little messy, but I'll get better watching this over and over! THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!!!!!!
I have tried for years to learn and your tip about hand placement was the difference!!! Seriously! So easy now I just need to practice making it neat and keeping it tight ! Thank you so much
I've been trying to nail this for YEARS! Watched more videos than I could count, my girl runs screaming whenever I come near but thanks to this video, I nailed it!!!! Couldn't be prouder of myself and my little girl is soooo proud😭 also nailed the Dutch braid thanks to you. This is priceless, can't thank you enough 🙌
I've known how to braid and french braid since I was 11. I'm many years older and have never been able to do my own french braid until this video. Thank you ❤️
You are to braiding what Bob Ross is to painting! Thank you for the gentle instruction. At 25 years old I just did a French braid in my own hair for the first time in my life after probably 100s of failed attempts w other tutorials. THANK YOU!!!
Just saying the whole don’t look in the mirror and close your eyes trick was amazing. I struggle so bad trying to braid and have tried a few styles and always seem to mess up part way through and takes FOREVER to get it decent looking. Today I did this with my eyes closed and it took me less than 20 minutes and omg. I’m in love. Great tip!
This also works great still on short hair! My hair barely touches my shoulder and I’ve spent years trying to figure out how to do french braids and nothing seemed to work but just “don’t watch yourself and try and feel it with your hands” and “Work it like a normal braid just adding a piece everytime you go to move an outer one inside” helped SO SO much.
Amazing tutorial! Thank you for explaining it so simply - especially the hand placement and how to hold the braid close to your head. That's why I could never do it before!
Thank you so much! This is the best French braid tutorial for me! I was totally overthinking it and looking in the mirror! Just feeling it was so much better!
This is the only tutorial I've ever watched that actually helped me figure out how to do this. I didn't think I would ever get the hang of it. So excited !
I've wanted to french braid my hair since I was child and no video I have watched has ever helped me apart from yours! Thank you for explaining it so simply and clearly - I was obviously overcomplicating it and trying to get it perfect first time. Thank you so much such a helpful video!!
I’ve watched a lot of videos trying to learn how to French braid and this was by far the best one. I was able to get it down pretty fast with your instructions so thank you.
This is actually beautiful!!! When watching other you tubers, I WAS SO CONFUSED HOW TEH HELL THEY HELD IT! Thank you for actually explaining it!!!! ❤️❤️
This was the only tutorial that I could actually follow. Thankyou. At the age of nearly 27 I have learnt how to braid!! I am legally blind too so Thankyou for explaining it as well as doing it. Really helped.
I love French braids ❤but i cannot make french braids by myself but finally after a long time i will do french briads without any help of other ❤ Thank you so much sister 💞 stay blessed......
Yes!!!The ideal French braid tutorial! Simple, step by step and providing the information we need to hopefully(fingers crossed) succeed at braiding. Thank you so much,I shall attempt this ,goal being without having a jumbled mess of hair and a beautiful braid.
thank you so much for this!! i've wanted to do french braids for YEARS but could never figure it out! this really helped me and while my braids aren't perfect yet, i still managed to finally do them!
I just want you to know that after 15 years of confusion and frustration, I FINALLY got twin french braids to look cute on myself. All thanks to you! You're literally the only person that's been able to explain and demonstrate the technique that actually makes sense in my brain hole ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
By no means was the first time perfect, but mine came out really well. I have been trying to learn how to braid for YEARS and you are the first one to say “don’t look, just feel”. This is the only way this worked for me. Thank you!
Oh thank you so much! I have always been able to braid other peoples hair but I've never been able to do my own! Those couple tips in the beginning where all I needed to get it!! Thank you so much
This was incredibly helpful!! Honestly. My braid has improved in just a few mins!!! Finally able to get it tighter and it was all in my ARM placement! 🎉
Great tutorial your the only one I've seen about holding hands one side not over the head. I still seem to get confused what strands what when I keep adding hair. But won't give up
Gotta say I watched a couple other ones trying to impress my GF and braiding her hair and this honestly is one of the easiest videos to follow. Thank you
I have watched so many videos but I had never seen it the way you did it. You made it so much easier and I am wearing like that right now. Thank you! ❤
Every time I try this the braid never shows up on my head.... no matter how hard I try it doesn’t work. After watching many videos and trying countless times I’m giving up at this point.
Maybe try to hold it at an angle more towards the back of your head, pretend to point at the nape of your neck. Practice adding different amounts. Let it be messy and not perfect until you feel better with the technique.
I watched so many videos after getting to this one, and I am so happy! I loved the tips and the easy not over confusing tutorial! I got it the first try after watching this THANK YOU !
Omg Thank you !!!! The way you explained at the beginning about taking a clump of hair and braiding it away from your head - that is EXACTLY what I have been doing !! No wonder my arms felt like they were going to fall off and I would yell at myself in the mirror. You finally did what no one else has yet to do…you EXPLAINED HOW TO DO IT, while adding what does NOT work through the process. Brilliant. You are probably an amazing hairstylist…thank you ! Can we see some of your work ?
I have tried so many times with some other tutorials. But damn yours just did the job for me and it finally happened. I just did my own two french braids! So thank u 💗🤩
This video has helped me soooo much!! Picturing myself doing a normal plait and adding to it made it click, I just needed to get my hand positioning a bit better but It looks better than it ever has done before 😀
Thank you so much! I know how to French braid, but I wasn't sure how to get started doing it this way, and thank you for the pointers!! It really helped 😊❤️
Dont give up! It does take a lot of crying, trying, swearing and many other hateful feelings, but just remember manyyy people probably tried soooo hard to get this. I mean, I have frizzy hair and it’s SO tangled, but my mind says hey don’t be a quitter! And I try again and yeah it’s okay to take breaks! You got this!!! 💜
Thank you so much for making this tutorial. I tried following the instructions, and figured out that a french braid doesn't work for my hairstyle needs because all those strands don't stay put for too long with my hair type. From your video, I learned that pulling my hair downwards would result in a neater and less floofy braid. This improved my braiding knowledge and helped me produce a neater hairstyle. Super helpful. :)
I’ve tried multiple videos and your video is the only one that did not make my arms burn or make me on the verge of tears. I finally have somewhat of a braid now. Thank you!
Now I know why do I had a fluffy pair of braids everytime I tried doing it..... But I'm sure now I can do it pretty well. All thanks to you.... Loved you to no bounds.❤️
This looks so easy! I'm defintly trying this beautiful braid out tommorow! I might struggle bc i have hair past my but lol! but im obvisoly doing this because it look so easy! im giving this a like so iw ill let u know tomz! xx
Okay let’ me say that I’ve been struggling with this for idk how many years but this THIS VID I JUST MADE MY FIRST FRENCH BRAIDS AND IM PROUUUUD CUZ I HAVE VERY THICK CURLY HAIR THANK YOUUUUUU
Amazing. I usually get confused after watching these kinda videos. But you giving those most crucial tips on not looking at the mirror while doing it and feel it and keeping ur hand angels to ur growth of the hair. Man these are the crucial tips. Thanks a lot. It helped and these you go. I completed doing these two by my self.
I’ve been trying to learn how to do this forever and I finally did it (doesn’t look amazing but good enough) and I was so so happy thank you so very much for this great great tutorial!
I feel like I finally get the concept, but I think I’m still holding the hair wrong. I can’t figure out how to hold three pieces and add more all at once.
Don’t take a tiny amount but not huge chunk, an amount that’s easy to grab and work with. The more and smaller the strands the more detailed:) but with super thick hair u may need to take alittle more
Thank you, you've made it easier to understand. My 12 yr old daughter has been bugging me to french braid her hair and other tutorials were confusing. :)
So, the final result was a hot mess, but for the first time in my life I WAS ABLE TO FRENCH BRAID. What a great video! I had already given up years ago after watching hours worth of videos and failing miserably. But after watching this once, I finally did it! Thank you for sharing this with us!
