Ghewar Recipe
Ingredients:-
Ghee - 50g
Maida - 150g
Water - 750ml
Sugar - 250g
Water - 100ml
Saffron- Pinch
Cardamom powder- Pinch
Oil/Ghee - For Deep Fry
Method:-
Add melted ghee in a bowl, add ice cubes and cream it together as shown for 4-5 minutes.
Then add spoon by spoon of maida and mix it well into the ghee.
Then add water slowly, into ghee maida mixture without any lumps. Deep fry in hot oil by slowly adding gewar batter. Repeat the process till a nice thick ghewar forms.
Remove from oil and keep aside so that excess oil drains out.
Sugar syrup
Melt 250g sugar using 100 ml water in a pan. Once it forms into one string consistency then add few drops of lemon juice, cardamom powder, saffron strands.
Serve the ghewar as showns
