Gluten free sourdough can taste good! Today I am showing you how to make easy gluten free sourdough dinner rolls that your whole family will love. The process is an all day process, but there is minimal work throughout. There is just a lot of waiting as the starter gets active and then the dinner rolls rise.

I am using 1 to 1 Baking Gluten Free flour by Bobs Red Mill and it already contains Sorghum flour, Tapioca Flour & Xanthan Gum in it. Would I just need to ask the Psyllium Husk powder in it?

I don't recommend using an all purpose flour blend as the ratios won't be right. You can try it but you will likely get a very dense product. The psyllium husk is your binding agent, that flour already has a binding agent by using xanthan gum. I recommend following the recipe exactly in order to get the best product and right texture!

Such a good idea, including your daughter in the sour dough feeding along with her daily chores. I like the "Eat Beef" sweat shirt too. Are you offering sweat shirts for sale?

Thank you so much! That is one of her favorite sweatshirts, which is great since we are beef ranchers. lol She bought it with her own money at a local boutique. I do not have sweatshirts for sale at this time but may be something we do in the future!

@theranchershomestead8497 I'll keep watch then for your merch. Lol...I would have bet money that your daughter's sweat shirt was part of your cattle ranch promotion. I'm new to sour dough and I appreciate your instruction of same.

Thanks for sharing! Have you tried freezing them? Do they taste as good?

I have never tried freezing them because I usually make them right as we need them. But I think they will be just fine freezing!

Hey! If you split the recipe and make dinner rolls and a small bread loaf, does the cooking time change for the bread loaf? By the way…the gluten free sourdough bread is the best bread I’ve ever had!!!

I am so glad you love it as much as we do! Yes, you will want to start with less time on the loaf as it will be smaller. It will be a trial and error the first time around but just make sure to check the internal temperature to know when it is done!

Thank you so very much. I’m going to try this. I’ve never made a GF sourdough starter nor any starter (afraid to do it) - you and your daughters made this look like a doable task. With celiac in the family those with GF feel left out so this is going to be loads of fun to try. I’m going to order your starter as I’m truly not sure about the feeding thing If I only make these rolls 2x or 3x a year. Can these rolls be frozen?

Yes the rolls can be frozen! You can also put your starter in the fridge, so that it goes to "sleep" for months at a time when you are not baking. I just find that it takes about 2 feedings for the starter to get back active again after being in the fridge for a while. Hope this helps!

@@theranchershomestead8497 - so I can make a starter and not have to feed it every day until I get ready to use it again? Maybe you can explain that to someone new to baking sourdough. Thank you again for this video.
