I head down to San Diego California for some halibut fishing. Using live sardines we got a bunch of halibut, spotted sand bass and barred sand bass. I show you how to hook the sardines and the rigs we used.

I was in San Diego for a family wedding earlier this year. Only had a couple hours to fish. Needless to say got nuttin. Im jealous that you dedicate your trips to just fishing and your lady is cool with it 🤣 Mine, not so much LOL Cool Barred Sand Bass, man 👍🏻

Boy do they have some teeth! Nice seeing u get on a few halibut 👍. Those bass were really cool looking! Couple sharks 🦈 in the mix!! Looking forward to seeing how u guys made out after fog lifted. Cool aircraft at the end!

Thanks. You should have seen the fish finder it was just a wall of bait from top to bottom almost sometimes.

Thanks. It's a different species of halibut( california vs pacific) that is all through san diego bay.

I noticed the Halibut are a lot smaller do they get big there at all? Those striped and spotted bass pretty nice looking. Waiting for part 2👍🏻. They closed Kings in area 9 today.🤨

The biggest they get is 60 pounds around. They have to be 22" to keep and you can keep 5 a day. I saw that about the kings. I really wanted to get a king from point no point too.
