I AM NO BAKER!...BUT I'm always seeking EASY Homemade Dessert ideas especially to serve on a Sunday afternoon following our Sunday Dinner. As for all my other recipes, this one is easy to follow and can be made from everyday ingredients we can surely find in our cupboards.
Who else hates wasting food as much as I do? DO NOT THROW OUT THOSE OVERRIPE BANANAS!! Make a bread instead! It might not be the healthiest option but it is most definitely one of the most delicious ones 😄
INGREDIENTS:
4 overripe bananas (better results when they are)
2 eggs
1 cup sugar (use less for less sweetness bearing in mind the bananas have a high sugar content)
2 tbsp white rum (optional)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Butter/baking spray to grease baking pan
TIP: Sieve flour to eliminate the formation of little flour packets. I usually do it on the go so no time to separate ingredients before combining.
Bake @ 350°F for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out dry!
Can be served warm, room temp or even cold.
Enjoy
