I've seen them, and drinked boba many times like 7/8 times outdoors, but the bubbles can never be as thick as the cafe made bubbles, as they never use "sabudana" they simply use tapioca starch but that recipe is hard to follow, but also gives the outdoor cafe outcomes but the sabudana trick is risky and can easily fail and can make a significant difference in the outside and homemade boba. I do have sabudana but it's too little to be visible in the glass and is thin, there's just one type sabudana not "thick" or "thin" they're simply standard size.
