Got2Learn do you remember how much crack fix product you used per feet? I am trying to get the realistic average footage yield per caulk
@Got2Learn
@Got2Learn 7 лет назад
Oliver Aguirre per feet I couldn't tell exactly, but from what I remember, I got at least 10 tubes and I had at least 30' of cracks about 1/2" in width and about 1/4" to 1/2" in depth, should give you a rough idea, hope this helps ;)
@MrOliverAC
@MrOliverAC 7 лет назад
Got2Learn Sika says is about 8 feet using the sand+epoxy method, but i think your number is more realistic. Thanks! Another interesting video you might be able to do is on how to patch or repair cracks in exposed aggregate concrete. That might require the use of concrete repair products plus resins mixed with aggregate. Chears!

Oliver Aguirre Great, its better to have a little more product then not enough, you can always return the overstock, let me know if everything works out ;)

What grit disk did you use when grinding on your concrete floor to prep it? My garage doesn't have any pits, holes, mine has a thin old coat of paint that I want to remove, and I need to put some profile to be the concrete floor to give something for the paint to bond to better due to the surface being slick. Thanks, John

Here's the cup I used, it doesn't mention anything about grit, but this is the one: www.pearlabrasive.com/p2-pro-v-singledouble-row-cup-wheels/product/0/1571

Can't think of the name where I got the stuff, but it's on Henri-Bourassa, that's all I remember, it's a small hardware store that sells concrete stuff, if I think of it, i'll put it here.

Pool filter sand is usually silica sand. I imagine that should work just as well? Easier to find than straight up silica sand.
@Got2Learn
@Got2Learn 4 года назад
It's gotta be kiln dried.
@ashow13
@ashow13 4 года назад
@@Got2Learn Understood. What I did is just bought pool filter sand (which is silica sand) and I threw small batches into a pan and cooked it the oven at 400 degrees for a half hour each batch to dry it out. Seems to have worked fine.

hi, what is the sander that u have used to sand the final step for concrete to ground flush. any brand for blade and machine.

Check PART 2 for all the details ;) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-53UrFZfWsfw.html I don't have a brand name for the disk, but they usually give out good blades when you rent the grinder.

What grit number is used to sand cement?

Don't think there was any grit specified, but it was pretty aggressive.

what if you just did the epoxy over those pitted areas? I have so many all over my floor and it would be a pain to break out basically 3/4 of the surface. Thoughts?
@Got2Learn
@Got2Learn 7 лет назад
mct8888 I am glad I decided to do it. I noticed the the epoxy does NOT fill any voids, it stands out in the sun. If you want to have nice results, I really do suggest you repair/flatten you surface first or you might regret it when it's too late ;)

Hey very nice Video!! Did you grind the Spots you repaired with the concrete after it was hard? Did you grind the cracks afterwards? Greets from Germany

Yes, I had to smooth them out before applying the epoxy ;) Greetings from Canada!!!

Got2Learn thank you so much for your fast reply! Can i first repair the whole spots and cracks in my floor and then start grinding the whole floor like you did in Part 2 of this series? Or should i first grind the whole floor 1 Time and then repair all Spots and smooth out the spots again? Greets
@Got2Learn
@Got2Learn 6 лет назад
There are no differences, you could do it both ways, I just did it that way because it was easier for me to see ALL the cracks and pits that needed repairing ;)
@peterdevlin6389
@peterdevlin6389 5 лет назад
You can fill all those holes in without tearing out the whole floor by adding cabosil to your epoxy which makes it thick and then spackle in those divers and pin holes. All crack can be filled in the same way. This is way to much work
@Got2Learn
