You make it look so easy! I believe even I can do this...at least I'm going to try! Thank you for your videos, I have learned so much from watching them.❤❤❤
Thanks Ellen, I had to scroll through as it’s my sisters birthday in March and you gave me an idea for a card... March is Daffodils....so now to practice....
I love this! Tried to paint along....not a great idea, I paint much slower than you...lol. I’ll be finishing it up, then painting it again. I’ll be more relaxed painting it a second time. I also added more leaves and buds, challenging myself. This is quite a challenge to begin with, but perseverance will pay off! I look forward to your videos. Thank you so much for sharing ! Nell
Thank you Ellen . I have watched lots of tutorials and like yours the best. I get better results as you explain and tell us the colours you are using. I have improved since watching your videos.
Love this tutorial ! I have bought watercolour paper which is fine for practising techniques but I am now at a stage where I need to buy paper to deal with the techniques!
I finally tried this one. Mine is very similar to yours but that’s partly because I’m a relative newbie and I think that is how we newbies learn. I desperately want to make my own work and I have been experimenting with that as well. You are really helping me! I painted your heart wreath but kept it at just the wreath without filling out the whole page. I even made up my own mythical flowers, except for the roses! It looks great! Thank you so very much!!💕
I like daffodils because they are one of the first signs of spring along with crocuses - at least around here. Also, they serve as a local offering for a major charity - maybe Breast Cancer Research (?).
These are beautiful! Another month and we should start seeing them in my hometown of St. Louis. Hopefully I can take a trip back home!! 🥰. Thank you for this tutorial!!
Ellen I am loving all your video's especially the flowers. I haven't tried yet...lol I am right in the middle of reorganizing my space so I am saving all your videos so I can go back later. I love all the tips you give us. Just bought a paint tin similar to yours and am about to set it up with my watercolor paints. You make things look so so easy..we will see how my brain transfers your info soon. LOL Thanks for all your hard work.
Loved watching you paint this flower. I can’t wait to try it. It was my mother’s favorite! I like the way you talk and explain when you are painting. Lovely painting
Beautiful daffodils 🌼 remind me of the coming of spring a long way off for the Mountains 🏔 Of New Hampshire it doesn’t get here till my Birthday in May....lol
These daffodils are so very beautiful. You make everything look so easy and I know it's not. TFS another great tutorial. Ahhhhhh Spring would feel so good right about now on this snowy day. ☃️🎨💛💛💛
Thank you for this nice daffodils. That's exactly what I hoped to see on your channel yesterday. Did you hear my thoughts !!! 😉💚 I wish you a nice weekend. Ursula 🍀
Love this tutorial, living in Wales, UK, it's our national flower & I enjoy seeing a different way to paint these gorgeous flowers. (P.S. I think there's one too many petals on main flower) 💝🎨
Very lovely piece I always seem to have a hard time painting with yellow I hope to be able to get better at it and ur video helps a lot thank u for sharing
Oh dear, I just re-read my last message & I hope you don't think I'm being critical. I love your videos & always look for one every evening. Love your tutorials. 💝🎨💝
Hi Ellen, thanks for sharing all these materials and nice watercolor moments. I love your tutorials and would like to try them all! Thanks it’s fabulous. Re: this last floral, I did not understand why you take part of the brown lines snd shades off. I found it so great with this precise touch and so many details, which is not often found in watercolor works. Was it just your choice or was there a technical reason fir this last step? Thanks a lot for your time. Keep on teaching us so many good things!
Hi Ellen I was trying to create a darkish green background so that my flowers really stand out. Should I do this before I paint my flowers or afterwards?
Ellen do you have any tutorials on paint brushes? I am a novice for sure and am figuring nautural hair brushes are the better, but as I said NOVICE here. I do not have a lot to play with $$ wise and do not want to go haywire. I just noticed that all # 10's are not alike. I want a round with pointed tip similar to what you use.But looking at a brush guide I am finding the set I have is more Filbert and my # 10 is not round. Any hints on what to look for in a starter inexpensive set? The most used. I inherited some of my Mom's but by the looks of them they were used for washes flat ones of various sizes. She did oils too. I do not think they will be of much use for sure. LOL I did get my paint box set up with 24 watercolors and they seem like the colors you use too. I like the ones you use but am sure I can't afford them:) but I have lots of flat and no round pointed ones.
Been looking for help with daffodils for about 7 or 8 years. My daughter in law ask for the painting. You have given me the ability to make it look good. THANK YOU.
