I didn't even know illuvium was live. How does it play? Is it like Pokémon after all or not really?

It won't really have much in common with Pokemon other than collecting creatures to battle with. Right now the only thing live is the arena demo. Kind of like a TFT style auto chess game. Everyone is provided max level of everything, so there is no progression, ownership, etc. Basically they are just focused on balancing it right now. Next quarter the overworld beta goes live and we can start catching our own Illuvials.

@@tikklemeemo1979 Illuvium is just in testing and there aren't really rewards yet. Everyone has access to everything in testing. Rewards are just for the top 1k on the leaderboard. So you can play for free and earn, but only if you are a top 1k player.

there paying around 12k per week to the top 1000 players in arena... been grinding this game hard, im stuck around 1k rating.. been running verdant, collosus and berserker comps, or jotun w 5 bulwarks, with pretty good sucess

I hit a ceiling around 1200 here with this team. I'm now trying to figure out what I need to run to climb higher. I'm not sure if it's a team limitation or my personal skill limitation.

Yes I agree, smurf accounts should be deleted from leaderboards, doesn't make sense the way there doing it!

Im doing great with Verdant, colossus, toxic rn! Even against the new meta released today shock, enchanter. Magma... I love the flexibility of this game to push out wins by understanding the battles! Finally over 1100 rating! :D
