Even though I am a seasoned junk journal maker, I am absolutely in love with your tutorials. You make them so precise and easy to follow. Anyone just starting out would be able to make journals after watching your videos. Thanks for all the care you take making your videos!
Ohhhh, my gosh!!! I learned everything I need to know to make my first journal. I have been putting it off, but now, after watching your video, I’m ready to take the plunge. You are extremely creative and your directions were very clear with details. I like how you also explain why you do something. Thank you. 📒📕📗📘📙📖🔖👍🥰
I have watched so many videos about creating a signature but still unsure about doing it until I saw your explanation. I love your technique of the written outline that you follow as you explain the process. Brilliant! Thanks so much.
I am BRAND new to junk journaling - planning on making 4 of them for Christmas gifts this year. I've been collecting the raw materials but was a bit stuck on how to move forward. This is exactly what I needed to see! Really enjoying your channel!
This is perfect Natasha. Tutorials like this helps me tremendously, I don't have to overthink anything, especially as a beginner just learning how to make journals. Yes, using what I have, but taking out the guesswork of where do I start. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! You are a great teacher. God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
With my poor english I can undestand you so well. You are so, so organized... you are incredible. I love your chanel and your creativity. 🤗 Abrazos desde la Patagonia Argentina
First of all, I have to say how much I LOVE your style, technique and instructions. I have all these things in my head and it is so hard to pull it all together and find a place to start....the struggle is real! lol I have written down your instructions and laminated them and I believe it will be such a HUGE help in getting started and not being so overwhelmed. I took a hiatus for about 1.5 years from crafting so now I have a lot of catching up to do. I don't know if I am happy or sad about having HOURS of your videos to watch! lolol Thank you for sharing your life and your love for crafting with us.
I've been making journals for six years and have learned so much from watching your channel. Thank you for sharing your methods and organizational skills!
Thank you so so much. I love the way you teach. You clearly answer questions and show us step by step. You also give us written instructions, which is really great. I am learning so much from you and am so grateful. ❤️
I am so grateful for your "recipe". It can be so overwhelming to get started with hundreds (thousands?) of pages, no idea how to proceed. This was so helpful and inspiring! Thank you, thank you....
Natasha, this is just what I was looking for. I was having trouble getting started on my first journal and your instructions here are so perfect. Thank you Natasha. Now I begin.
I love your channel. Not just because your art is lovely but also because you do things in such a helpful way, like sharing written explanations! Sometimes I want to come back to an informational video for reference or have a cheat sheet while I work and that makes it so convenient. It's the little things that turn good content into great content. I just wanted you to know that it's noticed and appreciated. ☺️
This is a perfect one stop video for everything one needs to make the perfect junk journal. I love your videos and your way of teaching. Thank you so much for your time and sharing your knowledge with all of us.
Holy smokes you have simplified the great unknown!😝🤣. The perfect blend of the various paper items. I am coveting that journal cover 🤣😂. Thank you for the clarification. 👍🥰❤️
This is the most detailed and concise tutorial on how to make a junk journal, step-by-step. I’m not new to the book arts, but I am new to junk journals, and I’m in the midst of starting one. I love books and paper! I just subscribed, and I ordered your book. Thank you so much for this video!
Your videos are so concise yet detailed and I love listening to you. I am new at journal making and am having such fun because i have been doing arts and crafts for 60 years and I can use so many of my loves in this such as quilting, crochet, painting, vintage linens, fabrics and trims. My craft room was made for this and in one week I have already made three. Guess what everyone is getting for Christmas? (bingeing your old videos).
In a time that is difficult and disturbing all over the world, your videos are a respite. They are creative and calm and charming. I am appreciative of them, and of you, for making them. Thank-you Natasha.
Natasha THANK YOU! I love how you systematically give us lists that help organize the ideas in our minds. This is what I need to start something- a formula or recipe I can begin from & add to. You are a true treasure & your art inspires me. Have a great day friend 😊
I’ve always asked myself how does Natasha get her journal to be so beautiful inside 🤩, today I’ve learned so much and will follow this method when doing chunky journals which I truly love making. Challenging myself to make a journal with 2-signatures (19) pages in each love the chunky look using a Amazon box, so now I can go back & change or add pages to my liking! Thanks so much for your wonderful tutorials and ideals always excited for THE NEW & FRESH from You! 🥳❣️❣️
I'm making my first really pretty journal for a gift. After watching this, I've reconsidered how to choose and assemble the pages!!! Thank you so much for your tutorials!
You explain things very well. I need more time in a day so I don’t have to stop! The ideas are limitless. I have been binge watching! I like when you write things down to be screen shot. It helps so much.
Thank you Natasha for making it easy for me to understand. I often wondered about how you figure out what papers to put into your suggested signatures. I'm saving these instructions as now I can categorize my different papers. I've collected so many different papers and categorizing it makes more sense to easily pull from. Thank you so much for taking the time to show it. Finally I can start a junk journal. I've been watching you for a long time but couldn't figure out how to start. I'm finally so excited, I can do it. Thank you so much
This is the area I have struggled with the most! Your explanation and rationale for your signatures is clear and precise! I can go now and make my journals with confidence instead of second guessing myself. I have ALL the papers- now, to get busy! Thanks for the well-informed push!
Thank you so much! This is such an informative, instructional video! This is exactly what I needed, as I was putting the signatures in without preparing the papers and also forgetting things!
Another great tutorial from you!!!! Very well done. You've managed to not only inspire me but you have taken away the intimidation. I can't wait to collect my things and begin!
It's 5 am here in the states. I'm feeling incredibly lucky to catch your video. Do I see more wonderful cover work by your Dad and Mum? Artistry is hereditary. You know? 😊 Thank you for sharing your craft with us.
I just purchased my first sewing machine yesterday! I've been experimenting all day and this video could not have come at a better time. I'm making a Halloween journal with a sewn paper bag as the cover but I couldn't decide what to put inside...this was a tremendous help! I definitely need more blank lined paper in my collection like ledger papers etc...tomorrow...I attempt to onion dye paper! Thank you again so much for your tutorials! I can't wait to gift myself something from your Etsy shop someday!
I'm brand new at journaling and haven't made my first one yet but I love your video! It was so easy to follow and pleasant to watch and I learned so much. I really appreciate your time and effort.
Thank you for making this video Natasha, I am late finding it but it came at just the right time as I am making a junk journal for the first time in over 3 years. I didn't realize how much I forgot. Watching this reminded me of so much and also taught me a couple of things I did not know. You're a great teacher :)
Your journals are absolutely beautiful and so well done! This video is very helpful to newbies and experienced journal makers both. Of course I took screen shots of your cheat sheets. I love, love, love that you provide these ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Natasha, thank you for sharing your talents with us. You are my greatest inspiration. I love every single video and after watching them for some time now, I am ready to start taking action by applying them to create my own personal journals.
Thank you Natasa💕. You are so organized. It really helps to see your process and makes it a little easier for me because I usually get very stumped at where to begin. Your tutorials are always my favorites. I love your style. Have a blessed day, Sandra.💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
At last! A craftsperson who actually explains what they are doing, how and why. I'm retired and looking for a hobby, and I fancied making a journal but it all looked so complicated and intricate. Your video showed me how to get started on something quite simple to get my confidence. Thank you!
Thank you so much for compiling all this info into a simple explanation! I’ve made a few different “easy” journals but I fret over how or what to use! Your guidelines are a great simple starting place! I do so enjoy your ideas! Thank you for sharing your ideas and giving s inspiration! ♥️♥️
You really are my favorite junk journal artist ❤ you're an excellent teacher too and make such amazing straight to the point tutorials 👍 straightforward is always best 👍
OH I am SO excited to have found you! I have watched an exhausting amount of other journal-makers but absolutely NONE are as easy to watch/follow/understand as you are! Thank you for all these! I have binge-watched (and subscribed) your tutorials and am right now in the process of making my first junk journal!! My grandson’s birthday is in early March and I am making an art journal for him with a ton of Spiderman pages, sketch pages, comic-book-style-Bible pages, map pages, lined writing pages, all in 3 signatures and Im about to sew them into a hard-back book cover I emptied. I am going to do the 3-hole sewing binding (I’m sure that’s not what you called it, sorry), but I am so excited to get them sewn in so I can start embellishing! I made a fake book first so I could include all the corners and flaps and belly bands and folds and pockets and awesome things you’ve shown in your tutorials. Oh you are a wonderful teacher!! I taught art for years and only WISH I had found you before I retired to pass these things along to my kiddos! I did try to teach basic book-binding but it would have been SO much more successful had I known about you then. Ah well, tickled to have finally found you!
I'm so happy for this tutorial. I babe endless ephemera and pockets and such, but I get intimidated by putting signatures together. You are an incredible instructor. Really. Thank you so much! ❤
TYVM, Natasha for this video and for taking the time to do it and post it for your fans. Watching so many videos about how to do this and that can be overwhelming, to say the least, especially for a perfectionist. I really appreciate your system of how to create something that works. You put things into perspective and always help your viewers to be creative. This video is a great starting point. I just love and appreciate how you create something out of nothing without all those kits and digital prints. Your style is very unique and beautiful. You truly are an artist to use what you have and create something so beautiful and enjoyable. Also, just love the recent soft fabric cover journals you've been show casing - how very artsy and beautiful. Perhaps, you'll do a video on those someday.
Your videos are so inspiring. I've been making journals for over a year now and I struggle with doing pages for signatures. Just by watching this and how you categorise them has really made it a whole lot easier and clearer. Thank you x
I’ve made a lot of journals but this was still so helpful. I like the discussion on balancing the decorative elements with plenty of writing space. Thanks! ☮️❤️🌎😊
I always wanted to know exactly how to start making a journal. I'm so excited! I can't wait to start. I have so many of all these papers and packages that I always wanted to use! I can't thank you enough!
Thank you, I was a little lost about where to start but you've given me focus and your journal looks very professional compared to others I've seen and I like that a lot. 💕🙂🙏
I come back to your videos time and time again. I learn something new every time. Thank you, Natasha, for sharing your wealth of information and your talent. Sandra USA
I've been making journals and books for several years and I always can learn something new! Thank you for so many ideas and all the inspiration. You have a gift for teaching, And you are a gift.
Much needed! You’ve made my Sunday Funday! A must to add to my playlist! 🤎I’m amazed at what you could use! 😱I love making tea and coffee dyed paper! ☕️🍵 Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement to finally make one! 😍💕
This is so lovely. You are so gifted. I wish there is process video instead showing finished journal. It could be a pretense process video where you just take everything out and just film putting goodies inside the journal, that would be even more satisfying to watch.
Simply Gorgeous ✍🏻 It’s so exciting seeing all the ephemera - because it’s everything you taught us, and it looks so rich and I awe how good when it’s assembledThe lucky person that receives such work.
How inspiring! I’m working on my first altered book to use for recipes I’ve collected. I’m learning so many ways to make little pockets and places to tuck tags and clippings.
🤩 thank you so much for being so thorough and clear on explanation of the signatures! Now I HAVE to try a journal with signatures (instead of just a pre-made notebook. Bless you!
I thoroughly enjoyed your video today. I've made several journals, but had decided that before I start another, I would like to be more organized about what my signatures look like. Seeing your video answered so many questions and gave me many new ideas. It's like you knew what I was thinking. Thanks for all you do.
Your written outlines and organization of ideas makes it seem possible for this total beginner to journals. Though I've crafted seriously & regularly for 20 years, this is a new adventure. Thank you for making it look possible for the first time. I've been viewing tutorials for probably 9 months while making tons of gel prints in the past 18 months. The other tutorials just added to the confusion until getting this big pix of the process. Thank you so very much.
Prior to watching Your Beautiful❤J Journal, I ‘totally disliked, grimaced, shuddered and Totally Avoided junk journals, BUT NOW After Watching plus 3 Repeat Watchings, I Want to Make my first One which I “may” try to video. I think it will take quite a time as I take my time to ponder and enjoy the process with anything I do these days. When I do this you will be the first to know. Meanwhile please accept my Sincere ; Thanks for Uplifting my Day, Thanks for The Inspiration upon my Way, Thanks for showing me How, And Thanks for making me Want to Start my Joy Journal Right Now!!! ❤ Your Happy Fan, Susie Donaldson x
Wow Natasha, thank you for this tutorial. I watch all of your tutorial and I really love them and have learned a lot. But this one is great for me. I'm a beginner , just watching you and others before I begin. Thank you for all the good and great tips. Adrienne 😀
Natasha, you have brought a ray of sunshine into a dark and gloomy winter here in Canada. I’ve been watching you so much - my house is now covered in journalling stuff! My husband even goes around saying things like, “little pocket!” trying to mimic your beautiful accent. Please keep up the good work! I started looking at other tutorials but nothing beats yours. Such practical advice, I love it! And I watched your personal story - WOW! It really impacted me. Thanks for laying your soul bare. One of the things that attracts me to you is your depth of character. Stay courageous and may God bless you and your household, that you may walk in the light of His love 💗 My very sincere thanks 😊
Hello Natasha, you are sooo generous with knowledge , videos, so organized ..to see your videos is for me like listening to a friend..thanx so much for your sharing !
Love your video, it was so helpful, have been making and collecting ephemera and dying pages, but this will help me to get over my fear of making my FIRST journal!! Can't thank you enough!!
