What I love about marion is that she isn't forcing you to use her products or anything, just delicious and wholesome recipes you can try. As well as amazing cooking techniques! I hope I could get a hold of your Sriracha here in the ph though!
I’m crying😭 I’m in UK and miss curry laksa so much but keep failing with all the recipes I’ve tried! This is the only recipe that worked!! And it’s even better than the ones I miss! I love you!
Thank you for this version of Malaysian laksa. Pro Tip: Cook the prawn heads and shells in the oil before you add the paste so you'll get an extra prawn flavour boost. I've made your curry laksa recipe. I loved it but it took forever because I had one stove. Now I can have this anytime I want and quicker. I don't have salivate while cooking for hours. 😅😅
Made this last night, was absolutely amazing, love your 15 minute Wednesday edition and good on you for not editing out bloopers, makes me feel normal in the kitchen, you da best Marion x
I just went through all of your recipes I've bookmarked and realized you'll keep me busy cooking until I'm about 106 years old 😆 (By the way, I made your Dan Dan Noodles tonight and used your home made chili oil that I made a few days ago. Both are *AMAZING* )
Just made this last night after a long day at work and then grocery shopping. It literally took me 20 minutes, and it was so delicious! Throwback to Singapore 🇸🇬
How did you know I was thinking Of making Laksa this Sunday? I have two jars of Laksa paste. Thank you, Marion for your ongoing guidance and inspiration! You are the best!!!
So I followed this recipe a couple of months ago, and it has now become a staple recipe. It's full of flavour and so easy to make. My son LOVES IT I make it at least once a month minimum.
Your videos and recipes are miles ahead of anyone on You Tube and most cooking shows on television. Very impressive. You have encouraged me to experiment with different spices and recipes.
For real for real this shit on lock. Just made the laksa with some changes by adding some of my own laksa recipe into it and good lord ❤️ this is a solid base recipe and you can really switch it up if you got the time. Love it
I wanted to say a big thank you. I made this the other day for the family. And they absolutely loved it. Even the kids. It taste better than a restaurant. God bless you.✝️👍🤗
Made this last night and it was a HUGE hit. I used oyster sauce in place of fish sauce as that's what I had on hand. Also added chana dal because I'm trying to use other things instead of always noodles or rice. : D I will definitely be moving this into my regular rotation as it was simple and DELICIOUS!! Thank you!
I love how she knew the difference between curry laksa and laksa! Big difference in taste too! Penang laksa is sour, curry laksa is coconut milk-ish and the Singapore one has a nice seafood taste to it!
Curry laksa is another street sensation that resembles comfort food at its finest, thanks Queen Marion for showing this recipe in such easier approach but still not compromising on the flavor, yum!
Hi Marion! Im not one to leave comments, but I've tried this recipe and it absolutely works! Im living in the UK and I miss curry laksa that I usually have when Im home in Malaysia. So, when I stumbled upon your recipe that allows me to have my favourite dish in just ~20 mins, Im keen to try, and I have no regrets! Thank you so so much for your recipe and keep on doing amazing work!
This is my absolute favorite cooking channel of all time! Only discovered you this past month, but have already tried at least 8 recipes! I love that you use a lot of the same ingredients in all your recipes so I’m not constantly running out to buy more spices or sauces I’ll use only ever use once! Plus I live in Hawaii so all the ingredients listed are always super easy to find! Thanks for the quality content!
Marion is always like this..her techniques aren't traditional (well..surely she knows how to make some of them traditionally but she encourages people to cook so she comes out with the simple versions). The taste won't be 100% authentic, but she always finds a way to twist a dish in a very creative way! Making difficult dishes super easy and they turn out very delicious and healthy too! Also if you notice, she doesn't unnecessarily use single-used items. I'm sure it's not effortless to do this but she really shows a good example of cooking sustainably.
Wow.... I love this recipe! Every time I go to Singapore, I go to one of those well known Laksa restaurants. But the fishiness from the shellfish or shrimps they use always get me. I know that they are the real Laksa. If someone says this recipe is not the real Laksa, so be it. But this is what I've been looking for. Love it!
oh my, I made this for dinner tonight, so so easy and soooooo good. Who needs to eat out or order takeaway when this is so quick to make and this goooooood.
I’m a Singaporean but residing in Germany . I cooked my Laksa occasionally. I think the magical twist came from some sautéed ground dried shrimp & I used ready made sambal paste instead of curry powder. The bonus is I could find some fresh Laksa leaves in the Asian supermarket. Nevertheless yours is great recipe!
Made this tonight. I was happily surprised that I had most the ingredients in my pantry/fridge/freezer already (no fishballs and no chicken; subbed fried tofu for pan fried firm tofu). It was a little more time consuming than 15 minutes because I didnt have my mise en place before cooking and I made some changes to ingredient quantities. But it was easy! It turned out delicious! Thank you! I love the quick and easy recipes you post!
This recipe is perfect. I have tried this and I was so pleased with myself. I had only had chicken and shrimp to use. It took me back to singapore. Thank you Marion!
This is a revelation!! I love Laksa SO MUCH - especially the Crispy Pork Belly Laksa from 'Malacca' in Charlotte St, Brisbane. But, I have always shied away from making Laksa because of all the steps and the time it takes. Thank you Marion... this could change my life!
Wow! This recipe is amazing! I always have to endure a 2 hour Tube ride to get a decent version of this noodle soup in to London. Now, I don’t have to. And it’s so easy to do. Delicious! Thank you very much!
Marion! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this amazing recipe. As a Curry Laksa tragic I have never felt I could make it at home but this recipe is the bee’s knees and the flavour is fantastic. We had it for dinner tonight and it was so successful I’ll be making it on a regular basis. 🤗👍
I have this video saved for a long time and tried it 1st time tonight! i'ts a success! it's like soul/comfort food in each slurp! thank youu for this very easy recipe!🥰
I had this video saved for months and finally made it. Had to come back to comment that it turned out so good. It tasted just like lake as in restaurants here, which leads me to believe the restaurants here use this same method too! 😍
I have a beautiful mood watching your videos. Very informative, professional ,uplifting and while following ccoking your recipes ,i am all smile and with love doing it too.... Thank you and keep it up! Cheers
Me and my siblings love laksa but got discourage to try this as we know it's such a tedious process. Thank you for this version - tried earlier and it's soooo good! ❤️
Marion, thank much for this laksa recipe. My kids loved it.They asked me to cook it again soooon! It taste exactly how i want it to be.! I am a fan from Philippines!
Thankyou Marion. I’ve been meaning to attempt your laksa from scratch recipe, which I WILL when I find the time but for now, this recipe is just as good! I impressed my guests with this and they didn’t know I used the paste. They’ll never know! Thankyou! It’s freaking tasty and super easy!! Thankyou!!!!
This is just so perfect.. i always have some leftover curry paste n now i know what to do with it for a quick n simple meal with fishball n fishcake... yummy!! Tqvm.
Made this for the first time ever. As I live rurally I also made my own tofu puffs. So easy, so tasty!! Next time I'm going to try making my own fish balls too 🙂
I found a vegan red curry paste in the store so I am looking forward to making this without fear of allergies. Can't eat shellfish anymore so I really like how flexible this recipe is, I can omit the shrimp and not miss out!
I love Laksa and i tried this delicious laksa of yours. My family just loved it ! It's so delicious! Can't wait to cook another batch! Thank you for sharing this Laksa recipe.
Thankyou Marion, I'm obsessed with your videos and your amazing delivery. One question though before I excitedly cook this, the only curry powder I can think of is keen curry powder or garam masala. Are these the powder you have in mind? Keep up the good work and congratulations to you and your partner.
This recipe is the bomb! I never thought that this would taste so rich and so flavorful. I miscalculated the amount of the red curry paste and it was so spicy, so I added cream and it exploded in my mouth with so much goodness!! We loved it!!
This is perfect. I left Australia and now living in Italy and fishballs are near to impossible to find...i order my asian goodies online....and sub surimi for the fishballs..but it all works out...thanks for the recipe!
This is one of my husb fav.He love anything with noodles and broth as he grew up eating Pho all the time.My mom and i made the laksa with dried/fresh chopped shrimp for my husb family and friends when we first moved to the US.Lotsa chopped fresh cucumbers, raw onions, sambal tumis, chopped daun kesum and lime for toppings. It was a big hit! But i personally prefer it with fish!Thicker broth.
Yes, I can’t believe I’m successfully making a Laksa. Thanks to you Marion, my family have a new favourite and it is easy for me to make. Your recipe makes me look good, ha ha!
Looks like am gonna get that tub of red curry paste in the reduce to clear bin tomorrow for this recipe 😜😜😜 I have been contemplating if I should get it and here your vid came up, it is a sign 🙇♀️ Hopefully it is still there tomorrow at the supermarket 😁
Thanks for the shortcut. I'm going straight to the Asian-mart right now. My only experience with Laksa was when I lived in Singapore many years ago and there was this little restaurant in Pandan Valley that had great Laksa.
One time i was craving curry and started making it that evening. Half way through, I went to get the fish sauce and was shocked to find that I ran out of it, I only had the very little left at the bottom of the fish sauce bottle. It turned out that the flavor of the curry was missing something ... it was "flat". The next morning I went to the Asian grocery store and got a fresh bottle of fish sauce and was able to bring life back to the curry :) Yep, us southeast Asians have to have fish sauce in our curry. Thanks Marion.
made this today and it was to die for. loved it, loved it, loved it. can you please post some more recipes where you can use the red curry paste. thank you
Marion thank you for this. Since we are on a lockdown for 1 month a half my fav laksa store is closed 😣 i knew youre the one to turn to when looking for this kind of recipe. I tried it ws superb! My family loved it too. Thank you 😘😘😘😘
